Those are open to unannounced inspections at anytime, plus, if you have something happen, like a long hospital stay, or a few months in city jail, you'll be locked out of your unit until you pay up or they cut the lock in front of a sheriff and an auctioneer. A public storage facility is the last place I would go. They also require a government issued picture ID to rent one.
