Another cool find, Faithful !
I tell myself I need a dehumidifier just in case.

I forget how much CO2 is recommended during bloom.
Time to read Cervantes's book again ! lol

thanks for the advice, i am obviously new to dwc, but in my mind it made more sense to have a deeper res for the roots to hang and be able to gather oxygen. if i had a res like you are using as an example 4"x15"x20" then wouldnt the roots be completely saturated in the nute solution and not be getting as much oxygen? i welcome the advice so please keep it coming!
I've never done a grow in a res that small but I think about an inch and a half would be enough air space. What you need to do is a realistic height assessment. Start from the top down, thinking lights, space, buds, screen height and so on until you know how everything needs to fit and then think about a reservoir size or growing style.

Regarding that Ultrasonic Humidifier w/ Sensor & LCD... I'd hate to be filling that tank every single day. Wonder if there's any way to rig up a 5 gallon reservoir that would feed the main chamber?

Like gravity feed it from above or something ?
You think it would use all that water in one day ?
I have to battle humidity if I grow during the Summer, so that's when I chill and start back up in the Fall.

Well according to the specs listed, my math shows it will run the 2.45L reservoir dry in just under 8 hours if left on full-time. It obviously wouldn't be on 100% but that's worst case. But I'm guessing yeah, you'd be filling it waaay more often than you'd like. Gravity feed can get messy unless your fittings and seals are perfect. I had problems with a rain barrel design I tried to run that way. I solved it by running them "in parallel" meaning that both 55gallon drums were connected to each other at the bottom. That way the volume and pressure in both stayed the same. So I was picturing a 5 gallon bucket at the same level as the humidifier chamber, with a tube connecting both at the bottom. Your thoughts?

I like your idea HP !
I've been wanting to get a rain barrel too, since rain has a natural PH around 5.8 when the atmospheric pressure and CO2 are in harmony.
I'll use that parallel connection at the bottom if I use more than one.

Alright current and future Deep Water Cooler Club members, here's what I just saw at my local Wal Fart :

Igloo Marine coolers (all white) w/ drain plug and like mine (48qt/12gal) = $24.88

Igloo Breeze (red/white; see pic) w/o drain and I have one of these too (48qt) = $19.88

Igloo cooler for clones just like mine = $9.88

Coleman 5gal "bucket" sports cooler w/ drain = $21.88

And there were other various larger and smaller coolers, than what I have.
Like 120qt/30gal and square 5gal coolers on wheels w/ a telescopic handle.

I also found these great aerator's that are made to attach to coolers like ours so you can keep your fish alive with lots of dissolved oxygen.
I saw one for $22 that I like.
It's rated for 10 - 25 gallons and the pvs tubing extends above your water level to softly shower down into the water creating lots of oxygen.
It comes with a 2-wire, 16G cord with battery clamps on the end to connect to your boat.
I found plenty of 2-wire 16G extension cords that you can splice and rewire to the aerator pump so you won't need the clamps ( but save them).
Also has 3 big suction cups on the bottom and can be mounted on the side wall if you don't want it on the cooler bottom, plus a removable/washable filter.

The other model actually attaches to the side wall and has a few more components that makes it cost $35.
It has the same cord w/ attached battery clamps, but again, you can rewire it to plug in your wall.
It's actually the same 500GPH aerator pump and used for 10 - 25gals, but it comes with the pvc suction pipes for side wall mounting and large diameter tubing to feed it.

I am wondering if it will give more DO than my air stones ?
Fish only need 7ppm's of DO to survive and breathe.

hey hey flo

ok heres what i found out on those, been reading up on them for a while as you know, well those do generate some D O, but the ones i prefered had an airline attachment at the bottom & brought it right into the impeller itself so infusing it with the recurculation the bilge pump is performing and by doing so realy produced the D O we crave. The fast-moving water at the output of the pump creates a vacuum, which suck air into the pump output. This system typically provides larger amounts of smaller air bubbles than previously discussed aerators,

trying to find some more pics to explain better, but heres another one for you, a Ceramic Diffuser,

Microbubble oxygen diffusers produces a cloud of extremely fine bubbles - 100 to 500 microns. This is much finer than graphite or carborundum diffusers, or porous hose, and because the diffuser is flat, the bubbles do not coalesce as with circular section diffusers.

KA970-02 Diffuser $49.95

Say big bro, do you like that ceramic diffuser better than your keepalive aerator ?
I wonder how long the ceramic would last too ?
Dammit.......know you have the synapses firing and keeping me awake !!! lmao

Yeah, that 460 was the one I was looking at too.
Seems perfect and an easy way to get rid of these air stones.
Bought enough stones and we might as well get 2 of these for long term use.

Like my new avatar !?
Mason Moore......Super Squirter !! Mmmm lmao
