One Pound Strains

....That's a lotta weed :weed:
No this is a lotta weed: I think some of these were blueberry trainwreck vegged to 5' or so inside before being put outside at the start of the outdoor season. All these plants are reported as exceeding 10lbs dry. Indoor strains work outdors just as well, depending on climate, especially if they don't go out until they're big and plenty healthy. If you are in a colder wetter climate, forget it, you need a completely different type of plant. These would mold and rot.

If you think they're photoshopped you're uninformed. You can find these types of grows verified on many boards. I have a couple years of experience on you and much more knowlege in the subject of large plants than you. I've already cropped many indoor plants taller than 8' and they would have kept on going easily if I had the space and lights for them. I've posted several taller than my ceiling, look up my past grows...

Here's my smaller simplest and cheapest old single 1kw grow that I put zero effort into when I first started experimenting with large plants. This is just starting flowering, not even half way into flowering and I don't know if you can tell, but half the plants were falling over in this pic because only the one in front was tied up to show it's size and only with a couple strings at this point. I didn't take finished pictures because the room ended up like spaghetti and really ugly, I had to put string up everywhere to keep the branches from snapping as the weight packed on, and the only stuff you could see to take a picture of looked like shit because the outside parts stopped getting any light as the inner branches thickened up. I didn't have nearly enough light for them at this point, but I got what I got:

That shittiest and simplest large plant setup I ever did yielded over 2lbs. The thread is titled zero prep budget grow, or something like that. I also posted larger plants I grew in my tiny bathroom, they passed ceiling height easily, but I don't remember the name of the thread title and with over 6k posts it's not easy to find. The largest 8'ers I did were with 2kw stacked open bulb vertical in my garage, vertical cylinder scrogged and yielded 3lbs per 1kw. And none of them I did hold a candle to what can happen when you stick one like in my pic above outside after it's too big for indoors.

There is a very simple trick, and I told you how they did it already. They simply vegged them big indoors before the outdoor season even started, then they went all season outside getting even bigger until flowering set in.

When you give the right strains a longer grow season than is ever normally possible on this planet, california climate, and over 55 gallons or more of root space they just keep on growing bigger they don't ever just sit there and stop at 5' tall or 10' tall or any set limit.

These stupid big plants above really are easily attainable given the right circumstances and strains. You do notice they had to put that webbing over them to keep them from snapping right? Can you see the size of the squares, he could fit his head in there.

Just think how much work it would be to photoshop around all the detail in front of and behind those things without leaving even a trace of editing. Around every cola and around every individual leaf. Please... Those sized plants aren't even all that unusual these days in many areas.

There is a house and barn in this farm for size comparison, each of these plants are easily bigger than a car, compare to the two lane road not just the driveway.

Nice pics man! I love to see plants bigger than mine by far, it gives me something to shoot for. I have personally seen plants that size now, and know that it's not only possible, but if done right, with the right genetics, can be accomplished on a regular basis. I'm shooting for 30 lbs off 6 plants this year, which is not even close to those monsters, but if I accomplish it this year, I'll be shooting for more next year.
Just ignore the idiot man, he's thread hopping and trying to piss people off with his ignorance. It's very obvious that those are huge plants and were not photoshopped. He thinks cause he's never seen one get that big that it's not possible, and don't want to believe that someone can grow a bigger plant than him.
I have seen a number of grows like that, and know that it's a pretty common thing to grow em' that size. I had 5 pounders, that were only vegged 2 weeks before planting, but it was only 3 strains out of 12 that did it, si genetics has alot to do with it too.
Nice indoor plants too BTW, vertical lighting can really yield big if done right huh? I never got that big indoors...good job!

A unique treasure from the past, which is very different from today’s marketplace cannabis. The maternal contributor was a potent and sweet highland Guerreran specimen selected from a true Mexican land race stock, collected circa ‘72-‘73. The blueberry pollen was from an F4 generation (original stock unique to DJ Short). Technically not an F1 hybrid as the Mexican land race individual is not from a stabilized breeding line; as such growers will find a small degree of variation. Only recommended for equatorial and sub-equatorial outdoor plantings, greenhouse environments, or very experienced indoor cultivators using growth chambers with sufficient light intensity and height requirements to accommodate her equatorial habit. Indoors only clones from mature mother plants should be induced to flower shortly after rooting. Height: 2m + Greenhouse/Outdoor Yield 1-2 Kilos per plant if allowed to grow to their fullest potential is full sun.

Genetic Heritage by region: Mexico, Thailand, Columbia, Afghanistan

If I still grew outdoors, I'd definitely give this one a try.

I would love to grow a pure sativa like that, but I just don't have the set-up for it yet. I have some Santa Marta Columbian Gold seeds, but they are the same kinda thing, and have a 24-26 week flowering time......ugh.... talk about having to have patience

When I lived in Mexico, I grew out a few sativas. Some took an entire year to finish, and looked nothing like the pics in this thread.
Mine were between 5' - 7' tall, and yielded 1/4 - 1/2 LB each. The smoke was fantastic though. Some of the best I ever had. I just wish
that stuff grew good indoors. That would probably be a 20+ week flowering time.

Yes, there are various other factors aside from the genetics such as how long they have been vegged before placing outdoors, soil type, and your location. If you're up North, you'll want a strain that finishes a little earlier as well. Can't go wrong with Northern Lights or Passion #1. I've had 1+ lb plants with both of these strains. Kodiak Gold is definitely a pound plus plant. I believe Reeferman has seeds available. If not him, then www.irievibeseeds.com has Kodiak Gold * White Widow which is supposed to be a massive plant and the price is right. I actually have it in my current outdoor plot and it's getting big in a hurry.

Guys I think he was talking about indoor one pound strains. Everyone know that if you grow a plant 12ft tall and 8 ft wide, yeah, it's gonna yield a few pounds....
That's why I still say Chronic and someone mentioned Critical Mass. Critical Mass is also know as Big Bud. A strain know for donkey-dick kholas. If your gonna go with Critical Mass or a CM hybrid, then go with MNS. They have the real Big Bud which was originally a clone only strain. Another high yielding strain is THSeed's S.A.G.E. or Sage n' Sour. Neville say that SAGE and New York City Diesel is the same strain, plus it has a great reputation so you don't have to worry about the smoke being sub par.

I dotn thin thse are photochopped...In Afghanistan there is 15-20 ft plants growing on acres of land and those are indicas.

And the OP did ask for outdoor strains.

Id still look at Texada Timewarp or Purple Pineberry..both are solid yielders and finish Late September...both go purple so stealth is good.

I've done critical mass indoors and out, even in my climate. Got stupid huge outside but all molded up before it could finish.

The pic of my crappy indoor stuff was just ak47 and a couple blueberry. CM indoors got scary big. But the problem is that stuff is just weak, it looked good and even got purpley and sticky, but was so weak I just gave it all away and wished I had grown something better even if that something better had only yielded ounces instead of pounds. big bud is the same weakness so I hear, but I never bothered trying it. That stuff is fine if you're not a regular smoker but if you are someone with a tolerance pounds of weak stuff has no appeal, even if you were selling stuff people would often likely want to find someone with better stuff and you'd be stuck with it.

I never said any plant will yield or get to the size like those trees, I said given the right strain they keep on growing and growing as long as you veg them. (And as long as you keep them from falling over from their own weight, and or snapping their branches off with their own weight.)

Plant genetics are like the difference between dog breeds. A chihuhua and a great dane, you could feed a chihuhua all you want but he can't ever get to great dane size. And even though a great dane may be two to three times as big as a pitbull, he still doesn't have greater bite force than the pit. People are still working on getting everything all in one, and I'm sure progress has been made since I last grew, it's been a while.

I grew a Bag seed last year that i vegged indoor for about 4-5 weeks prior to putting them in the earth, it grew about 12 ft tall , Lost 1 MAJOR branch from deer half way through flower and still yeilded 10oz with NO care at all just veged inside gave it good soil to work with a nice 3 month feed (This was one of many so i went cheap) and let mother nature do the rest. (Cold northern climate as well)

IDK why this hasn't been said yet, but literally ANY strain can yeild 1+ lbs if grown right. It depends a lot on veg time, and the sky is the limit on that.

Don't buy anything from Reeferman these days. Much of his stuff has been pulled from some vendors due to problems (I believe hermies and non-sprouts). His new fertilizer line has already caused some disasters in large professional grows and it seems these days everything he touches goes to sh*t.........

That's mostly true but some strains are easier to get a pound off of than others with less work. Like dude said, Critical Mass/Big Bud is a ridiculous yielder but it's on the weaker side.
