I cannot speak for the others mentioned but my ban was not for two weeks or any set time frame, it was 'from now on' when it was given, but I was told last night that it had been lifted.

It was said how people shouldn't hate fdd. I think that is a misuse of the word hate. Hate is a very strong word used to express a very powerful feeling or emotion and I doubt that anyone truly hates fdd. Dislike as a mod would be a better way to state it. If anyone would say they hated him you would think that would be me, but I don't hate him. I felt a lot of sympathy for the guy when he was going through some difficult times in his 'real' life, or personal life, while at the same time having to put up with people like myself. But I think he was unable to see that he was the root cause for many of his problems here. He turned some members who otherwise would not be a problem child into a problem child. He created and exacerbated many of his own problems here.

Possibly at some point in time he was a good or even great mod, but in the period of time I was here he was as opposite of that as one could get, even if they tried. I think that might be because he held the position for too long. I have been a mod before and I know that in time it can wear some people down and they change, and once they change it is time for them too be replaced. fdd was allowed to hang on for too long and the result was more problems and frustrations for him, for many members and for the site as a whole. He became a vindictive disrupting influence and a pot stirrer rather than being someone who calmly defused that type of member. But that is now all in the past so no one should dwell on it or hold grudges. At least not for too long anyway.

lol it would be politics if i were campaigning or trying to make people like fdd, all im saying is the majority of us like him, so uncle ben's arguments arent going to change our minds

Change gears. Good buddy, remember that vineyard I told you I put in a few years ago? Well, I've got 25 gallons of wine in a secondary going, all should be premium - white, rose', and Merlot blend. I sold hundreds of pounds too and if I had to guess the birds stripped 700 lbs. Worst drought and heat ever. Animals are so stressed they are digging up irrigation risers looking for water, porcupines are stripping landscape trees and eating the bark, wildlife and birds have abandoned their young and nests, can't feed themselves much less their offspring, most rivers, creeks and ponds are gone. Coons about to drive us all crazy. Trap and shoot, that's all you can do. :wall:
