Busted at concert in Ontario

Hey guys, so i know this case may not be as serious as many on here (feel for all of you btw) but this is my first offense and im really shook about it.
I went to a concert with some friends on the weekend and the security did a very thorough search of the car to reveal 2ozs of mid-grade, a pipe and a grinder. The OPP was on scene and confiscated everything and writ me up a ticket for "possession for the purpose" with a court date in a month.
Ive never had a criminal offense and it would be sorely looked down on by the rest of my family. What should i expect to progress from the situation? Is it worth fighting? Would i expect to do jail time or just a fine for pleading guilty?... Any advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

in all honestly if you went to hemp fest with 2 ozs a grinder and such , that was an incredibility dumb move the golden rule for hempfest is never bring anything in or out of that place

so the DA told me on time that it cost the court about 40 G's to take somthing to trail that why at least here in the states the offer plea barggins to try and save that money ....after hear that i told my self no matter how small the ticket im going to fight it tell the very end they pay 40Gs ...i pay a small fine whos the winner there ..imagain if it costed them 40 Gs to give everbody a ticket we could bankrupt them in a week .....im sure most of you have been to court there always at least a 100 people there who got tickets 100 x40,000=

haha dang, tat sucks dont worry ive had it happen to me with 1.5 oz when i was going to the vapour lounge in vancouver i told the cop a great made up story about me and my friends purchase quantity for cheap and split it and thats where is was going, to meet them and split our bag. he took it to smoke and let me go without anyhting, fucking theives anywhome...... no tell the court the same thing , you and your friends buy oz's to save the cash, they already know you have weed so you cant get in more trouble, plus you have no scale or baggy, or multiple bags(i hope) .. so now you wernt carrying 2 oz you were all carrying 1/2 oz each which is legal in canada .. good luck bro

Was really surprised they cared at all, there was a line-up a mile long of people who had much, much, much harder and more dangerous drugs than weed. I wasnt going to argue though because as you all know, golden rule with cops is dont say anything.
So the charge is going to be split among me and one other friend. So 1 oz each i guess. There were no baggies or scales found (thank god) just the paraphernalia originally mentioned.

Well if you are old enough, you could do the whole thing without your parents ever finding out. Do your parents not know you smoke, or are they the type that would be more mad that you got caught?
Point is, you got caught. This isn't a bad dream. It's not gonna go away. You either have to open up to your family, or take care of it behind their back. Either way, you should probably get a lawyer and try and get the charge knocked down to a lesser offense. What kind of charges you facing for two ounces? That's kind of a lot. Even here in a medical state like Nevada you're only allowed to have up to an ounce on you at any given time. Were you trying to get rid of it or do you just party really hard? lol
I'm sorry man. I hope things turn out for the best. It sounds like the worse thing that will happen is that your family will look at you funny, which sucks I know (I'm the black sheep of the family too). All I can say is try and take care of it on your own if you can.

I always plead not guilty its my way of not comforming.... The courts want you to plead guilty they know that if everyone pleaded not quilty the system would break down... So I plead not guilty every chance i get......

So one can only assume you plan to sell it.....Further more you have to assume there will be some sort of security and police pressence around the area.....

Under regular circumstances id agree with you, but this was a 3 day event in a park in the middle of butt-fuck nowhere, featuring rave and techno music. Guess im pretty dense not to see that one coming.
