Sour Deez in my closet

Sup fellas.... happy camper here. My last harvest is still drying and my closet is growing like jumanji bongsmilie

I did a quick 12/12 from seed so I could have time to work with some sour diesel genetics... growing out mothers and learning to clone. So this is about 2½ months worth of work. I'm using a 400w hps, ocean forest soil with lime, and foxfarm nutes. My veg area has 16x 5600k cfls.

Here's a mother, she's been vegging for 3 months under cfls, went into flower 5 days ago.

And 2 of my best clones

The last one looks a little pale and she's growing the fastest (I had 5 mothers). I just transplanted them from 1 gal pots to 5 gal buckets when I flipped them over 5 days ago.

This is after a little LST to even out the canopy, scrog would be a huge benefit here but I'm happy for now...

And finally, my veg chamber. I had 2 mothers here, and 3 outside, all but one are compost (I get skittish with too many plants). The three growbags have newly rooted clones in them, and 2 in the back needed water. I'll weed out the weakest and keep a few mothers to prepare for next harvest. :weed:

Thanks for checking out my grow!!! All suggestions, pics, and commentary are welcome :leaf:

She was showing pistils under 24/0 cfls ...eager beaver, gnomesayin?

edit: lol, at one point I was juggling 20 plants, sexing some and ditching others so there might be a discrepency.

I came home this morning and found water in my basement, 65% humidity. I work overnights and last night it rained like a bitch. I knew what I was in for so I picked up a 6-pack on the way home.

3 beers later I was done wet-vaccing and turned my attention to my plants. Canoe leaves on a few of them in my veg box. I know heat stress can cause that, but my veg temps are 80f. So I'm thinking it's either a deficiency because the two have been in their pots for ... at least 3 weeks (IDK for sure) or it's because they can't respire with the high humidity. Probably a combination of both.

I ditched 2 of the plants in growbags, just not feeling the vibe. Kept one for observation. It's tough, like having to choose which friend to kill. I have much respect for this plant and I don't like to waste good things. On the other hand, it's teaching me some life lessons so I guess it balances out.

After cleaning up... I know I have to ditch more plants, I'm just working up to it :-P

Fortunately, the a/c drops the humidity in my flower box to 50%, 76ºF. I couldn't ask for better conditions. Without the a/c temps are steady at 87º, so... fuck that.

Here's my enviro controls... 5,000 btu a/c, 70 cfm vent fan, temp switch.

...and more obligatory cannaporn...

Thanks for checking out my thread!!! :leaf:

Jeeze man you just told me the other day that the water has a habit of comming up in your basement! At least all it did was crash your RH and cause you to play house maid with the shop vac down there! Glad to see the flowering plants didn't get harmed!

Which strains did you end up scrapping? I'd say all looks very healthy in the veg box now so it will probably be less work for ya without those couple that needed a lot of TLC.

Thanks man!!! I pretty much know when I'll get water down there, heavy snowmelts, rainfalls and such.

I got this strain from another grower who got some seeds out of a sour diesel/mango grow. He gave me some seeds first, which I germed. Few weeks later, he gave me 3 outdoor plants that he'd been growing in some shitty soil mix (very dense, no perlite). Since I would never bring outdoor plants into my growroom, I decided that I would keep them outside and just keep taking clones until I had a bounty..

The outdoor plants have a very strong odor to them, even as young plants, whereas the indoor, from seed plant (there's the one mother in flower) doesn't stink at all. Perhaps i was misled on the initial trade and the first seeds I got were BS, either way, all of the plants in my garden are cloned from 2 of the 3 outdoor plants, except for the one mother.

Yeaman, less work is what I'm all about.

Sup guys, I see everybody's grows are looking healthy, good karma all around.

Thanks to Dankster for pointing out the obvious, I added 2 weeks flower time to the mother, which puts her about halfway through so I started big bloom feedings. I'm just terrible at keeping records so I just picked a day and made it official, lol. Hopefully, I won't have to sex my plants anymore... working in a very liberal college town has it's benefits and I finally have access to good clones :hump:

I've got hermies too but fuck it, imma grow em out. New leaves are curling under too, probably the beginnings of calcium deficiency but I'm going to stick with my normal routine so no matter. I added lime at 1 cup per cubic ft, so it shouldn't be too bad.

This one I'm real happy with...

Here's the mother

and the fam

Thanks for checking out my plants :weed: I'm very happy with them!!!! :leaf:

Looking really well brother! The first picture is quite a plant, did you train it at all?

I think you've got a good plan. Those leave curls look cureable but I'm not sure if you really even have to keep them if you wanted to. (?)

Flower room looks great as always! Looks like you got that water problem squared away. Ps, how tall are those plants? I definently was not planning to grow mine that large but was hoping for 1-1.5 per.

Thanks bro!! The first one surprised me, it was a shoot that had been cut, then regrew, and cut again so it almost looks like 2 plants. I tied one of the main branches back, but very little training on that one. Luck of the draw I guess, that thing is almost 3' across at one angle

It's a good thing I've been keeping up on the water problem, we just had 3 straight days of rain, flooding in several areas but it's all good in Xcon's hood. ;)

edit: oh yea, the first one is 29" and the mother (tallest) is 30"

Thanks man!!!! They're in straight ocean forest with 1 cup lime per cubic ft. I've been feeding the one mother Grow Big only for 3 months of veg, 1 tsp per gal once a week. In flower, they get 1 tsp per gal Tiger Bloom once a week, halfway through they get 2 feedings of Big Bloom in between the Tiger Bloom and nothing but water and molasses for the last 2 weeks.

I use aerated tap water too...

Good info X - sounds like a nice regimine.

I definently need to start learning that stuff!! Did you ever use generic fertilizers before swtiching to the FF line? I think grow big and tiger can be closely replicated by a generic (at least their n-p-k's) however big bloom with those tiny #'s... I've never seen anything like that at a hardware store/garden center. Is it just watered down (and you have to use a lot of it?). I've read a lot of debates on people saying it needs to be watered down to keep the different nutrients from (in lesser words) fighting with eachother and breaking down.

You know me, I'm TRYING to some cash through my first grow. Not always possible though is it. :) Whats up with the aerated tap water - leech the chlorine/etc out a little quicker plus keep the water moving so nothing grows on it? With mine and your basements as they are I bet our whole house atmospheres are similar. A dish rag last like 2 days max on the counter before it starts to smell a little moldy. :(

Are you not using any kind of cal/mag with what you have?I understand ya got lime in your FFOF.Even with lime in the mix you may still need to sup here an there with a cal/mag product, besides it's good to keep some in the corner for those just incase moments.
