Overall, a good courtesy flush benefits everyone!
*RIU comic reliefLol wiz you to funny!!
haha so true!what is this? more advanced nutrients bullshit marketing?
so your telling me that ONE week of flushing gets rid of a harsh, metallic taste? bs. You cant change the taste in that short amount of time. 2 weeks, maybe, not one week.I know i can taste the difference... its more....metalic, peppery tasting without a good flush. I get different color sensations with different flavors sometimes, much like that guy doug on weeds, improperly flushed bud is like ground pepper color in my mind. I can feel it on my lungs and throat for sure. I would take that blind challenge. And bet heavily on myself. I may not be able to pass a pepsi challenge, but you give me the same bud from the same grower grown side by side, one with a weeks flush and one with none at all, Shiiiiiiit, I'll put my cock on the chopping block with that bet.
Your right, I cant tell you a scientific link or anything, and you.re right, the nutes dont wash out of the plant through the roots when you flush, but it does use up the built in reserves in the plant, but the withdrawl of nutrients from plants can lead to more sweetness in other plants too, think maple trees in the fall. But if done correctly it doesnt have to STARVE the plant of nutes, if done correctly the remainder left in the plant will be adequate nutrients to give it everything it needs to finish properly. The reason why some nute companies tell you to cut back earlier than others is because some blends contain morr time release blends, and some contain only instant release/available nutrients that can be cut back on later than time released. But...if what you're doing is working for you and gou are satisfied and happy with what you get than who am I to tell you that YOU are wrong this is just my oppinion for me, one that I feel works for me. And my cock remains on the block for this one... I can deffinately tell the difference...on multiple levels. Its ok if you cant though.so your telling me that ONE week of flushing gets rid of a harsh, metallic taste? bs. You cant change the taste in that short amount of time. 2 weeks, maybe, not one week.
i would save your cock if i were u.
and another point. ive grown using many different kinds of nutes. some have the last two weeks as a gradual flush, others dont, and from what ive heard, the reason you flush is to unlock all the nutes and salt deposits that have been gathering in your soil. i grow hydro and i never flush, never will, and the only difference ive seen is one of bud size lol.
and please, send me a LEGITIMATE non forum, non 'marijuana grow guide' site that gives a scientific background to how flushing changes taste. Oh thats right, you cant. You can read this article here about how flushing isnt used in any industry outside of cannabis.

And one more minor detail: you cant "leach" chemicals out of a plant once they are in. Leaching would require the roots of the plant to somehow exude chemicals and unfortunately that doesnt happen. Its a very stupid argument, and for some reason, people think that you can "water down" the chemical taste by adding water. too bad plants dont work like cooking.
*...hhmm.. i guess your gonna be walking around 'cockless' then budd.. haha that has to be a joke...?Why flush? Growing toilets?
I sure hope your not a mmj grower and giving it out to the people! i would hate to buy some meds and it b full of all those chemicals.... flushing does help from what i no and have learned from many many growers. and patients would not like that very much if they were spending there time and money on crap dat taste bad and pops in ur face while smoking it....or worst trying to light a j and it keeps going out... quoted from Jorge Cervantes him self " Avoid taste of organic or chemical fertilizers in harvested buds by flushing with plain water or clearing solution to remove any residuals and chemicals that have built up in soil or plant foliage. Ten to fourteen days before harvesting flush the garden with distilled water or treated with reverse osmosis. using a solution sush as FINAL FLUSH if you have to use plain tap water that contains dissolved solids."so your telling me that ONE week of flushing gets rid of a harsh, metallic taste? bs. You need to put the bong down and stop posting bullshit, read the link I posted above before just regurgitating stuff some idiot told you.I sure hope your not a mmj grower and giving it out to the people! i would hate to buy some meds and it b full of all those chemicals.... flushing does help from what i no and have learned from many many growers. and patients would not like that very much if they were spending there time and money on crap dat taste bad and pops in ur face while smoking it....or worst trying to light a j and it keeps going out... quoted from Jorge Cervantes him self " Avoid taste of organic or chemical fertilizers in harvested buds by flushing with plain water or clearing solution to remove any residuals and chemicals that have built up in soil or plant foliage. HOW TO TELL WHEN FERTILIZER WILL AFFECT TASTE:
1. leaf tips and fringes are burned.
2.leaves are brittle at harvest.
3.buds crackle when burning.
4. buds smell like chemicals
5.buds taste like fertilizer
