I didn't do it often ... just had some morphine sulfate handy. I also had a used Imitrex syringe with the extra fine needle. The process of sliding the needle into my puckering meat was a bit of a cheek-biter. The weird "pop" sensation when i found the vein was also kind of a hang-onto-breakfast-tightly moment. But then thirty milligrams of morphine rampaging up my arm like the water horses in the first Lord of the Rings movie ... yeah i can see why there would be repeat customers.
Second time around I missed the vein repeatedly, then failed to press on the injection site. Had a big subdermal bruise for a week.
The lasting lesson for me was ... a) Don't refill the morphine. b) Smoking drugs is as effective and gentler on the organism ... at least this organism. cn

How can you say that without having injected a recreational drug into yourself? While i hate needles, injections are nothing but a slightly painful prick in your arm that you ignore, then ignore the injection and wham bam thankyou mam i'm outta there. Pain is a different thing to different people. You can't get transmittable diseases from a needle unless you're being a stupid twat about things, pretty much the same kind of rule book as not shagging a hooker wihtout protection, it's a pretty dumb thing to do.

It doesn't hurt when you shoot up. Of course you feel a pinch like with any shot, but it's nothing bad unless you really hate needles.
Not a user anymore but I never shared needles, you can buy those things by the package at any pharmacy.
Plus nobody wants to snort H, you'll just puke in a little bit.

yeah i dont hate needles, used to inject myself with something dr prescribed everyday to lose weight, used to get massive bruises, but always had clean needles, and broke the tip when i was done. it didnt hurt unless i rushed it.
but with hard drugs you're going straight into a vein, and i know it has to hurt. or maybe it was the gauge of the needles they use to donate blood or take blood tests that i dont like

the only thing that sucks is having to play with the plunger to make sure you hit the vein, you pull it up and see all the blood mix with your H.
not an easy thing to do with one hand unless you've been doing it for a while.
