your avatar reminds me of my electric bill
It represents how I feel about most of what I read on internet forums. You know what kind of stupidity anonymity can bring.

Right on, destroying our surroundings is bad for the environment, the natural order, and your karma.

I hate bugs. Beetles and snakes and tarantulas are cool with me, but I hate the fat bodied spiders with the skinny legs. especially when they're super fucking fast.

Centipedes are the worst...

I have a couple traps out ready to catch a mouse that's been lurking around, my fatass cat is too damn lazy to take care of it for me.

I only kill bugs if they either in my home or on me.....other than that I let them be.......

They're humane ones, but it's been a week and no luck. I've only seen it once and I hear it at least once a day.

I might have to break out one of the wooden neck snapper 2000's

They absolutely love grain-based items and nut-based items. A little peanut butter on a slice of warm toast should lure out the little guy, but if it fails then you could always try some sugar sweetened green tea, I know it sounds odd but they love the stuff.

Edit : Oh, and malta goya, they like it a lot, too.

Yeah I have peanut butter in them now, I think I'll put them in some new spots in a minute and see if that works.

It seems like he's made his way into my bathroom, my cat has been posted in there these last couple days and she never lays in there.

...I'm surrounded by all kinds of shit out here, I see at least 10 snakes everytime I cut the lawn...my growroom sets lower than the rest of the house. it drops down to the crawl space level...and the other day I found like 30 acorn shells on my shelve in a light box?...wtf brought those in, a squirrel?...I set a mouse trap when i moved in 2 years ago, and caught a mole!...I felt bad...but thats the kind of shit going on in my house. Forget the spiders, I'm scared of rabbies!

We need a better picture of Bob. From the night shot you took he almost looked like one of these

Can get fairly large and they are pretty common California Orb weavers. They can appear quite a bit darker brown/gray than this photo.

In the picture it looks like a hairy spider though but before I thought you described it as being smooth bodied like a widow.

its either a black widow or a brown recluse..i kill them both whenever i see em...they can casue alota grief, speacially for kids and pets
Brown Recluse spiders can cost you a limb. The poison works it's way inward, some bites require surgery. I got bit on the hand once, hurt worse than any wasp or hornet...like a snake bite. I've never seen them build webs that large though, recluse are called so for a reason. That looks like a widow web.

It is most assuredly NOT a brown recluse nor a black widow. Widows make cob webs in holes, slots, under ledges, always near a close by hiding area (close like a few inches) - they don't spin circular webs out in the open.

Ugly black widow web -

MedicalMaryJane - Does it come out during the day? It might not be sitting in the middle of its web, but is it visible on a leaf or stem where the web attaches? In the picture it looked as if it was reweaving its web which is a nightly task for most diurnally hunting orb weavers (by hunt I mean sit and ambush).

i will get a better pic 2 nite. hes not crabbish like the beige guy, he has skinnt legs & a big body, small head lol. i cant see him during the day at all, he hides. he will coe out if somthing flies into his web and he has to deal with it. i saw him outside yesterday for a minute when he was wrapping up a bug or kiling it or something. then i ran in to get the camrea and he was GONE. no where to be seen. poor thing is scared but he's scary as hell. you're right about the web, it's not cobby like the one above, its a regular web. that widow is stockier than my spider. lol, who decided Bob? i was going to call him Grafton

i am 99% sure if i put another spider in his web, the other would die. Grafton is a large spider, the biggest i've seen out and about.

i can't believe he comes out at night.
