My 1st grow! :D

for hydro no because it will slowly creep up in res...but soil yes as your watering just the once so it works :)

i use vinegar all the time for my soil.

Get er Green! ;)

as soon as u told me i went down stairs to try with out vinegar my ph is of my scale of 5.6-7.0 but with it went down to 6.0 so i fink i can easily get it to 5.8 cheers for the help man saved myself some money in the long run :)

really? i heard that 65 to 69 of is good and 78-80 is good for when lights are on? im just going by what ive read

that is my 2 cents bro. i don't know if you are strict with those temperatures. also i don't know what part of the world you are located in. here in my Area it reaches 30 degrees. my plants are indoor and they still feel the cold. when the heater is not on. i must admit my plants don't go. 100% by the book. i just learn to read them over time, witch is better than what a book can teach. ;) hope it helps.

Another thought, are you taking these plants directly to flower? HPS should really only be used for flowering, you want MH, or "cool white" CFL's or fluorescent for seedling/veg stages. The spots, to me, look like they might be burns from getting droplets of water on the leaves which magnified the light enough to burn the leaves. Keep a close eye on it, if the spots spread, get bigger, or change color, its most likely a nute issue, but 1/4 strength nutes should be fine at this stage. Keep us posted!

ahh that might b right as its only on 1 mayb a splash hit the plant when i was feeding 1 of the other, i got a dual spectrum bulb i thought that would b ok,my ballast supports mh aswell so may go get 1 saturday cheers for a quick reply mate

My personal style, I would use CFL or MH (anything full spectrum with a decent wattage really) for at least the first 3-4 weeks, just so nodes stay nice and tight during veg stage, then maybe switch to the dual spec at that point and let them autoflower. Besides that, your plants look like they are happy with what you're doing, and that's the important part, always listen to your plants, they will let you know when something is wrong. Best wishes.

cheers for your input that bulb was the 1 that came with my kit after this grow for sure im going change to a full spectrum hps and try get a mh, i just heard that a hps is better if u can only get 1 bulb so i got the dual spectrum just to be safe :) cant wait for them to take off got my dates wrong they turn 3weeks 2day :D

Anytime, I've read about people having great success using dual spec with autoflower, so I can't speak badly of it, as I've never used one myself, just a little info for your consideration. I like to try to keep my plants as short and bushy as possible until flower, because that will give you more buds in the long run. What lighting schedule are you using now, 24hr, 18/6, or 12/12? I suggest 24 until you see pistils, or 6 weeks, whichever comes first, then go 12/12.

im running a 20/4 but may change to 24/4 to get some more growing but so far so good with it atm, and yea as this is my 1st grow im going on other peoples grows for advice thats where i found out about the dual spec, and i heard that 12/12 aint good for a auto in budding every1 says 18/6 will get u the best yield? once again im just going on what ive read =]

fort i would throw up some pics of the best auto critical mass so far got dates wrong 2day she is 3weeks from sprouting

They are looking good, and from what I can gather, you are dead on about the 18/6. Most of what I've read says you will have good results with this light cycle, as long as the rest of your set-up runs smoothly. All things considered, I think you have a nice start, the combination of autoflower, dual spectrum, and 18/6 should give you a nice yield for your first time. Happy growing!

ahh cheers man, im just trying not to get to nervous over little fings like i bet most novice growers do lol, just feel like there growing kind of slow :S

hey guys the 1 with the light brown spots the spots have got a little bigger but from what i can tell it dosent look like nute burn as its in the middle of the leaves not the edges? any1 have any clue?

spots and yellowing are from lack of food...deficiency...just keep feeding it every watering and it should start to get greener....slowly increase to 1/2 strength if it doesn't start to green up in the next watering at 1/4 strength...it takes a few days to notice the change if any.
