Mexico soon...What's there?

1st Question:
What are some good things to get in Mexico that you can't really find, or better to buy there than in America...I've got a few ideas (Fireworks, Silver, Tequila, Tobacco, Clothing, Chiles, Pipes/Glass, Blankets, Seeds) But does anyone have any other/better ideas?

2nd Question:
What is good to bring TOO Mexico?
Is there anything that there isn't a lot of in Mexico, that we have in the states? (Like I've heard in Chile it's good to bring printer cartridges, since they have no production facilities for ink there)
Just anything that you can trade, give away in Mexico that is cheaper, and more abundant in the states...
Does anyone know of anything?



This is NOT a question of "What can I bring back to America?" I'm gonna be there for a while :D
 
question 1. prescription drugs? i dont know if its changed recently but you could go into mexican pharmacies and buy what you want. unless you've got a good idea on smuggling and think you can pull it off i wouldnt try to transport them over the border but if you wanted you could get and take whatever you want when you are there.
question 2. a very good water filtration system or bottled water.
 
Mexicans are always willing to trade their stuff for nice gear...

If you don't know what gear is you probably don't have nice enough clothes to trade ;). :lol:


They like nike shoes, basketball jerseys, some football jerseys.. .... think brand name... official NBA or New Era.. Rocawear.. sean jean ...

Silvers great, I know a lot of people that have picked up really cheap, authentic silver in local markets.

I'm gonna do that for sure.

Maybe even just try to find some unshaped silver, in lumps, or bricks.

There's gonna be so much bad ass, cheap stuff in Mexico.

I'm READY for this :D
 
well all i can say is stick to the tourist parts kause theirs a big time rise in mexico in kidnapins americanl tourist
 
i've never been to mexico and i'm not sure what part you will be in, but based on what everyone i know tells me after coming back, you'll probably want to bring an entourage and a few shanks. and antibiotics. personally i wouldn't go to a country like that unless i had some kind of satellite phone that would work no matter what. americans being targeted is a very real problem in some parts.

everyone raves about the badass people/stuff to be found there, though. no rain, no rainbows i guess.

I won't get kidnapped.

And if I DO get kidnapped, I will end up being an employee for my captors...Not a ransom :D
And I won't have much money, or anything. So their won't be too much reason to kidnap me...I'm not going to seem like "A Rich American"



I'm going to be going to multiple parts of Mexico not just tourist parts, and I already have places to stay, with Mexican locals...So I think I'll be ok.
 
dont go anywere to close to unsivilized people dont take cabs that r just raged make shure u stay in real populated areas.. my cusin was held for ransom they paid the ransom but they gave him back to his wife in pieces. I know my cusin he is a scaper against all odds im shure he put up a fight... so im telling u go to big places dont wounder out...
