On paint, I use a rubber roof paint. No tar. Built in fungicide/mold inhibitor. Seals the room, and stretches 700%, so no rips/wrinkles. http://www.amesresearch.com/_maximum-stretch.html 90-98% reflective. Know it. Love it.

On the OP's topic, I would have planned my grow areas a little more. I was so excited to get at it that I didn't think everything through.

sorry sweetswisher, i guess i have been lucky so far, knock wood. i use spring fed well water and it hasn't done me wrong. i also use schultzs african violet and big bloom for flowering and schultzs reg plant food for veg. seems to work with the bag seed weed i have grown. the ex cheese and kc brasil seem to like it too.
i'm a poor "grower" so i had to start simple and easy. hell i gotta drive 30 miles to the hydro store to buy my pro-mix :peace:

it's easy to do afraw squared. i thought and thought and thought about it some more. i still do LOL every night before i fall asleep and usually first thing when i wake :weed:

I would have waited a little longer and learned all I could before I sewed the seeds that were, in the end, wasted horribly.

as with other post i would have spent the money right off the rip instead of piecing it all together my first grow was in cheap dollar store soil in a south facing closet on an exterior wall in the summer with a 400w light and a box fan useing mg plant food what a mess the plant is my avatar( lest we forget) ive since moved to hydro and after years very capable now but that first feeling out to see what it does grow gave me a wealth of knowlege.whitefrost

Well I wouldn't have tried to grow in a pc case with miracle grow and 1 13 watt cfl. Lol or have done it in my parents house..
But luckily I now have my own place with a good sized room with my 400watt hps/mh ballast on its way! :D

here's another which i really need to work on, keeping better records. feedings, moneys spent, etc. i am a terrible record keeper. i need to leave a note book in the flower and veg areas so i can write down which plant got what and when.

For me I would've used more than 30w's of cfl's, but i decided that i couldnt choose between using money to buy a fan for the 600w, or using the money for cfl's which would be weak sauce, so just decided to end up with about 5 grams of bud. good choice!

i know another thing i would change or do differently...cat proofing. i have a cat that's an addict and has killed many many babies and eats on bloomers every chance she gets. and yes she is stoned in this picture, here's Lucky

true shit sunshine my little girl gardens with me hoping i pull some leaf off and when i do i break her off some hear its poisinous to them but i dont know if its a moral thing or legit

i never heard that. cats eat grass all the time though, im no biology expert but cannabis leaf cant really be bad for them can it?
