i think it's the judges that sentence them. the DA prosecutes. the cops are just soldiers doing the work of the man. aren't judges elected? i could be wrong.

Judges should be sent to prison for a few months.How can they make a fully informed decision without knowing the consequences of thier judgements?

If any cop thinks that a bunch of guys who spend most of their free time puffin doob's & chillin out on the computer are a threat that needs to be dealt with,then its a pretty big waste of time & effort in my book.

Driving down the road in a smoke filled car with a few roaches sitting in the ashtray. Come up to an accident and police stop me while they're cleaning up the mess.

Good cop - "OK, you can go. Be careful"

Bad cop - "Get out of the car with your hands where I can see them". followed by my head being slammed against something hard (road,hood,etc) and the faint sound of handcuffs as I lose conciousness.

Really bad cop - does the above and keeps my stash, booking just the roaches as evidence...........Judge: "It says in the complaint that you were driving eratically and caused an accident, then fell over a bank while trying to elude the officer, knocking yourself unconcious. On further investigation, the officer found multiple roaches in your ashtray." "Your Honor, it's all a lie, what about the ounce of weed that was under my seat?"

years and years ago my buddy got busted with a sack of cocaine. the evidence report came up waaaaay short. an 8 ball or 2 was missing. somehow he got his lawyer to address it in court. i think, i could be wrong, but i think the cop got investigated.

Your entitled to your opinions, but I think you need to do some research on the criminal justice system. If you think all athorities are bad why is your avatar the Free Mason's symbol? Unfortunatly this is not a utopian society, and when put in the wrong circumstances some MJ dealers do desearve to be arrested. I say not because of the drug, but because of the violence it creates by being illegal. So also we should decriminalize. The laws regarding the incarceration of individuals related to marijuana are ridiculous, but not all drug laws are. Do you want a society where its okay for kids to spend their lunch money on coke or heroin instead of playing an active role as a student, learning and enjoying sports? If you ever have a serious run-in with the law, they can find pretty much everything about you, including your comments on this site, and they will look at these as radical. Not trying to ride your ass though man, I just know some good people in my community who work for the criminal justice system, and its not worth slandering the whole lot because of their career choice. Thats like saying all people who work at wal-mart or Target for a living are worthless and uneducated. =Radical & Unfair. Have an open mind, their finding theirselves just as you are.
