same setup i used for the first failed grow, but it only failed on account of my bad planning and work got in the way...
wasnt really happy with the "amount " of plant i achived looked healthy but were very few bud sites, many reasons for this...seeds were from some weed that was going round at the time badly planned etc..
hope she goes better this time..

i had a similar failed grow just on the run up to christmas, like that, bad planning, first winter with a grow, got less than an oz off three plants, nightmare! Changed to hps and built a proper box and much better! Got an Oz off a Paki Ryder and id say 32ish g off a Fruit Automatic, just waiting for it to dry.

looking for lights 400 or 600 with ballast , fans , airpots anything and everything really..found most stuff at get up and grow but just taught i`d ask if there was decent second hand stuff going on here, have a real itch to get the grow up and going properly from the start, i mean cfl`s will do and will buy me couple weeks but like the cash is tighter than i was expecting and with recent big outgoings the days of buying oz`s are well and truely over, so suppling my own smoke has become paramout, i`d have a fairly high tollerence so an o a week would be no problem, so i figure if i set myself up now, and have a bit of a break from smokeing then by time the first crop is ready i could "re-train" my smokeing habbits and cut down on amount smoked in a week, and apart from the obvious cash problem being sorted theres the thing about overpaying for crap weed, i know that with patience i`ll get there buying from shops but, if there was a second hand room going cheap, would only help my situation....

Finally got my new tent sorted, 3X3 with a 400w hps and exolux digital ballast. Switched from dwc to coco and now I realise how difficult it is to water coco in airpots. Gonna start with some blue cheese and critical jack. Is the light too close for seedlings? I usually would use some cfl's for the first week but I cqn't be arsed taking down the air cooled reflector now it's up there. It's getting up to 27c lights on, but I haven't fully sealed the reflector. I'm hoping to average about 25c lights on.

cheers rory ya they were the picture of health until i switched over and this prob on top of it il try all this in the morning as im away alday and was back before lights out
ya i taught of that but not a clue how to go about it as its my first grow maybe next time

I'd be willing to trade a 400w digital ballast with a brand new totallly unused Philips Bulb HPS bulb and partially used (about 8 weeks of 16/8 
) MH bulb and Basic Euro Reflector for a working 600w magnetic ballast and new 600w bulb...that's not exactly the worst deal!

ae86 man dunno how much you looking to spend but i recently bought a 250w set up off http://www.hydroponics.eu/lighting-c-24/easy-kit-s-40 for €112 including p+p, add around €20ish to website price for p+p comes from italy, took around a week after payment cleared for it to arrive, seems to be doing the job nicely for me atm

thanks dudes, have decided to purchase from the shops, not to mad about internet buying i got stung before with parts from japland, that and i like to think if anything goes ass up i can return it in person...

@splifbazz, same here just back on a few days, and up ontil a few mins ago was little bit fucked up, but a mate i fitted an engine for just called and has an o of decent weed for me so lot happier now, yes have a spot picked out for this year, nice quiet gets alot of sun and i can keep an eye on her easily for bugs and stuff...
