so what? there are a ton of people out there with the condition as severe as he and they don't even get offered a spot on the transplant list. they just die.

He waited 20 months for it. It's not like he's Mickey Mantle.
I suppose I can see how a partisan douche-bag might see favoritism where it is non-existent; considering a former Vice-President of the United States received a heart transplant after being on the waiting list for 20 fucking months.
But the rest of us, not so much.

He's 71. And he has had heart problems most of his adult life. He had his first heart attack at age 37.
Methinks you are just pissy because you believe he received preferential treatment because of his status as V.P.
I did not mention politics beyond naming his former office. However, I do think that is the reason you started this thread.
So spare me any lecture on injecting politics into the discussion.
It's called a waiting list for a reason. First come first served. That's why I mentioned the whole Mickey Mantle thing.
Cheney waited his turn. He got a heart.

its cause he was one of the top in the gov. hes bout to die anyways why give him a heart? why not give someone younger a chance to live longer. if i was that old i would wanna die. i would be happy if i had the chance to die before i have to wear diapers and be taken care of.

I believe there is evil in the heart he has now. if he died on the operating table getting a better one, I shant shed a tear. Hell, it may even be difficult not to crack a smile. Should there be complications and he croak during the operation, I hope they have someone else on standby so the organ doesn't go to waste.
