Anybody Here Ever Been Shot or Shot At?

I was working one night with my brother making quality control checks. On the way from one building to the next we decided to stop and get something to drink. We stopped at a place called the Cracker Barrel Party Store. We went to the coolers made our selection and went to pay the bill.

My brother said he would buy. We put our drinks on the counter then my brother pulled his wallet out and put his money on the counter. I grabbed my Pepsi off the counter and headed for the door leaving my brother to finish the transaction. My brother said the store owner pulled a gun out from behind the counter and aiming it at my back. When my brother grabbed the gun and lowered the gun to the counter and told him the money on the counter was for both drinks.

I understand the shop owner said something about preventing shoplifting. I thought my brother was going to lose his mind. He has never looked at another Arab party store owner the same since. He will go out of his way to not shop at a Arab store. Imagine being shot for a 12 oz. Pepsi.

So shot at no, but if my brother had been any slower I'd have a nice hole in my back.

He was gonna shoot you for shoplifting????? WTF???? I'm glad you didn't get shot and if it makes you feel any better that would most definitely NOT have been a justifiable homicide......unless you had a gun on you. lol!

I really don't remember it but they life flighted me to the hospital. I wake up a week later with a hole as big around as a soft ball in my chest an left arm . My left arm got so infected they wanted to take it off but I refused . Which I shouldn't have done. But I still have it to this day. The hole in my chest I have had 21 surgery's. Still full of shot from the shot gun I was shot twice with. The cops got the fuck that did it . Who by the way was out on bond when he shot us. . He didn't make it.I was shot again but not so bad next time.

How are you now? Does left arm function? What happened the the shooter? Did they ever find out why he did it?

My life has never been the same.Im on oxygen lost most of one lung .Ive had 6 spinal surgerys. I did go back to work for but never been able to use left arm. much. I took the part about my brother off. I still cant deal with it

I Ben shot at 3 times. The first waswhen i was 16. Me and my friend were at a party, we were outside talking to some girls when a car pull up a guy with a skie mask jumps out and starts shooting... I was lost.... The guy left off about six shots before i pulled my boy down behind a car along with the girls i just met... The guy shot about 14 shots with a nine. When he left we went back in the party. I noticed my boys arm bleeding.. He started screaming saying he wants retaliation.... Lol i told him chill and i need to see if he was shot any where else that's when i noticed the hole in his pants.. Hes was shot 1s in the ass 1s in the leg and twice in the arm.. He refused to go to the hospital... He then stsyed in the house were the party was. The cops came knocked and my friend that threw the party acted like he was dumbass and didnt know what's going on. but long story short my boy was shot 4 timez stayed in the house with his wounds untreated for about2 hours while the cops were outside investigating then when they left decided to go to the hospital.....

did two tours in iraq during the earlier part of the war. Took several 120mm rocket and 80mm mortar attacks, got shot at with an rpg once, he totally misses but still made me pucker. Loud banging noises like car doors slamming still fuck with me from time to time

How predictable are mortar attacks? Can you tell where they're going to land before they hit or are they impossible to see till they explode on the ground?

What was the situation? What did you get shot (at) with? Who was it? What did you do when it happened? How much did it hurt? How much blood was there? Where did it hit your body?

I've heard it described as someone swinging a red hot hammer and hitting you square, was that what it was like?



I've never been shot or shot at, but I was there when my dumbass friend shot himself in BOTH LEGS with ONE BULLET! Dude was walking kinda crouch like towards a tall crane like bird to go take a couple shots at it in the riverbed, took maybe 10 steps, stumbled on some rocks - POP! - turns around and just falls to the ground. Fucked up his leg for like 6 months after that. He had the pistol in his right hand, it was a .22 caliber, shot into the right side of his right calf, exited the left side of the right calf, then hit the right side of his left leg, I think it just grazed it, no penetration, still a bunch of blood.

Just with a 22 in the chest. Went in and then went out. It hurt.
