Ok so i have some buds that have been hanging up for 4 days and i think they feel like they are ready to cure. They are mostly dry on the outside but you can tell there is a little moisture in there and the stem bends, breaks but does not snap. Should i start curing these?

I have other buds in the same room that are still very moist so im not thinking about curing those yet.

I keep my drying room at 66-68 deg and 45-55% humidity.

No, another day or two and you can put them in the Jar.

It really depends on how you cut each segment.
Do you have a picture that has some sort of size reference?

i've got to agree with hemlock here. You can save youself a whole lot of hassle by leaving em up for a little longer. If you're at 45% in your drying room, 4 days isn't going to be long enough. 6 should do it.

Let them dry good, put them in Jar crack three times a day for the first week 15-30 mins per burp.

Then you know once/twice a day after that.

Letting buds dry too much to avoid mold will ultimately lessen the quality.
If you don't mind a longer cure then use co2 and jar a bit earlier. It will smoke better.
You will need to be the judge of how long you leave the jar open each day... Do it based on how the outside of the bud feels, just like when you're deciding to jar from hanging. Twice for 30 mins each is probably an ok starting point for the first day... From there you be the judge. The objective is to slowly remove the moisture from your buds so they don't die right away.

Don't put dry ice in a sealed jar.

I jar them after drying for 4 or 5 days, right where yours sounds like they are. But I leave the lids off the jars and cure them without a lid for another 24-48 hours, moving them around gently once or twice a day.

I agree with everyone else that if you leave them another day it will make it easier, but I don't like to chance them getting TOO dry, I'd rather do it the other way.

The longer you can keep that plant curing without rot or mold the better it will taste. You will get that moist sticky bud that almost seems to flake apart in your fingers.

Look into using co2 for curing.

google "Caliber III" and get a few! Best thing I've purchased since the start of this fun hobby! Search the same on this site to read all about them and their awesomeness

Cure after you can roll a joint with the weed without the cherry going out. Its faster and doesnt hurt the bud to hang for a little longer. you dont want too much moisture in the jars or you will be spending weeks and weeks opening and dumping your jars. Also, more moisture in the jars leaves you with a greater chance for mold especially if you forget to burp the jars.

Be kind.

hang your branches up after harvest, let em dry to nearly a crisp, then throw em in a jar for a week. Easy peezy. Look on medical marijuana .com at Kyle Kushman's tutorial. dude knows his curing and does it the same way i do.

one more for the caliber, my 1st cures sucked, get a proper hydrometer to figure out where you're at

it's hygrometer, and they aren't necessary unless you plan on putting your flowers in the jar before they are ready
