I was heavily medicated when I thought about time. It blew my fucking mind. Time isn't real it's some made up thing but it is so important in everyday life. Its now sun-up and sun-down to me, until I ask someone for the fucking time.

Anyone ever seen Donnie darko? What a trip. Is time travel possible?

Donnie Darko is one of my all time favorite movies. The science channel has a show called Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman you'd probably like. Just saw a rerun other day all about time...fascinating stuff.

Ultimately, scientists may find that only travel into the future is possible, as the laws of nature may make travel to the past impossible so the relationship between cause and effect is maintained. For example, if you could travel in the past and do something that prevents yourself from being born, how could you exist in the future to travel back in time?

So true. I've written a lot on this around here. We are discussing in other threads, also. Way to go Shoalin this is not an insignificant personal revelations, and you are only just beginning to see the implications. I'm afraid Time Travel is not one of them. You just said Time is not real. No going back on that if you want to explore the idea. It can be kind of shocking so don't rush and get tripped up with any limitations or outside concepts on your discovery.

If time is just made up for civilization, just based on various finer and finer durations.....if that is all a tool for our business....then the only thing that actually exists is _ _ _

I don't understand at all when people start talking about "bending the folds of time", time traveling, etc. How do you make time tangible and then bend it, travel through it, or otherwise manipulate it?? It's just something I guess I can't wrap my brain around.
