3rd week flowering leaf claw

Hey guys Growing in roots organic coco and seeing the leaf claw.

Due to moisture stress right? I've been trying to water once a day maybe need to increase to twice since I'm draining to waste

Lmk if this is what I thought it was and what you guys recommend

Moisture stress caused by too much salt in my medium which the plant is pulling its water from the leaves?

What are your temps high and low for day and night? What is your humidity?

Sorry good question!

High has been 82 low 75 humidity is about 29-41% they go up when I water of course.

Currently 79 in tent

doesnt look like clawing but hard to see from that pic?
if clawing reduce the nutes and watering.
if heat stress raise the lamps until cant feel heat on your hand at top of plants.

With watering are you waiting until your pot is light and feels dry? Do you have an oscillating fan? What does your setup as a whole look like and comprised of. Clawing to me is usually an environmental issues.

I'm growing in coco so learned my mistake not to wait till the pot is dry since I read that's what causes salt build up by the nutrients drying in the coco. I water just once a day in the morning when lights come on at 7am and they're quite dry by 5pm before the lights go off. I think I should be watering twice maybe?

The lights are 18" from top of plant.
Currently dimmed to 400w because if I go to 600 the temps are too hard to control

God, dimmable ballasts are the fucking tits. Yea coco has a pretty high CEC which means supplementation with nutes will occur less often most likely. How big of pots are the plants in?

Here is my question...are those curly leaves limp, or do they feel kinda dry and are just permanently curled down? If they are limp then you need to water more...if they are hard feeling and clawed..you'll know as soon as you try to straighten it out...anyway it is is hard then you are overfeeding, and possibly overwatering.

your supposed to water heavily with coco so you get run off.
catch the run off and dispose of then wait till pot feels light and then water again therefore flushing away the salts everytime you water

The 12.5lt 3.4 gallon airpots, I love the dimmable ballast (lumatek btw) and hortilux 600

I currently have 2 oscillating fans running 24/7 in there. Setup pic coming next.

Hey kev, each morning when I go to water the pots feel extremely dry and the top of the coco is quite dry feeling I thought I should try to never let the coco lose moisture because the nutrients will dry up creating salts? Havent seen any wilt which I thought was from overwatering and knew you couldnt overwater coco so assume the claw was something else.

edit: I do water till 15-20% runoff in the morning feeding.

Also have been giving nutes with every feeding

only way to tell if need watering is to pick up and feel the weight.
even in coco the roots need some air.
i had the same prob when i started, i guarantee its overwatering/to much nutes.

Missnu - the leaves are very soft and not dry feeling but just like you described they are limp. I can fold it and it'll bend the other way but no cracking or dry spots on the leaves. I'm thinking I need to just water more which infact she hasn't got her daily feeding yet.

Kev- I pick up the pots every morning when I move them from tent to shower and trust me it's quite noticeable of a difference after I'm done watering I feel like I'm gonna throw my back out and when they are thirsty (i thought every morning) it feels about less than half weight.

how much water are you giving them? if limp they need more.
bout 2-3 litres i use once every 2 days for fully grown plant an 70 degree room

Every morning about 3 litres each in the morning to achieve about 20% runoff

Another I just took for safe measure, limp feeling not dry.
