what RIUppers Im starting a thread as I start to construct my AA ( atomized aeroponic) chamber. this thread is share and ask questions as I attempt to master the art of aero growing. I had 1 succesful run with hydraulic hp aero, and the buds were super dense I used 2 5 gallon buckets stacked with 2 nozzles at 100 psi under 900 watt black star led. people complain that leds produce airy buds but with this growing enviroment it was rediculous how compact the buds were! I believe genetics plays a role as well.

back AA my chamber is 44x44x36 constructed out of 2 sheets of 4x8 azack ( pvc) 3/8'' sheets I plan on cutting a clear plexy glass window in the front and insulating with 3/4'' foam insulation along with reflective bubble wrap insulation, Ill secure all corners together with SS corner brackets and SS nuts and bolts on the inside so I can also pin a scrog and secure a silk screen at the bottom I might wrap the inside with insualtion as well to give everything a tight seal! I still need to construct the top but plan on cutting in 12 3'' net pots i will prob start with running 6 plants first and see how much room the roots take up to fill the top of the canopy ya dig and also to dial in my enviroment as well but who knows I could fill all 12 tbd?.... and I plan on using 2 aero life nozzles, along with a shop compressor before upgrading to a silent one.

Gotta admit, I'm a little jealous of all the AA fever goin around. I think I'll stick to hydraulic as it seems to have lost the spotlight. I believe atomizer confirmed that hydraulic can perform almost as good (which is pretty fucking good) as AA if executed proper like. I think coverage is the most importante. AA is the bomb for the massive throw. Pics on the way?

Looking forward to seeing that huge 1100L chamber, its a lot of legroom for 6 plants. My outdoor isnt much bigger

Yea I did like hydraulic but I want to try aa after reading g loves thread it inspired my build!

Will do I need to get a new charger for my camera. An outdoor one that's sick u an tb both have the luxury of using the hps I. The sky I can't imagine the results coming from that!?

I am here! Btw, instead of a plexi window, you might consider making it something that can open incase you need to stick your hands in there for whatever reason... Perhaps a plexi window on hinges would be cool, you can look, and also touch if you have to... I assume you will cover the plexi up when not viewing to keep the roots dark... But you'll probably be looking more than leaving it alone- lol...

Sweet glad u could make it lol yea I totally intend on putting it on hinges and make it prob 12"by12" and yea it will def be covered prob 50% of the time cause the other 50 I'll be peaking in their lol

thanks for popping in bob! always taking notes my friend. your prob right thats why ill prob go with 12. I got some more materials today like corner brackets, stainless steel nuts and bolts, 1'' and 1/2'' foam insulatioin one side of it has reflective material, some all weather clear tape and a roll of bubble wrap insulaiotion, and tb gave me a pointer to cut it down to 24'' which I agree with him that it will give me more head height and the 2 nozzles might not have filled the 36'' deep chamber. its gna be a lil while before I post some pics cause Im realy busy this week and want to post pics when its completed so please be patient guys and bare with me any pointers before the construction of this chamber Im all ears....

At 2ft deep you`ll have 715L volume, 18" would give you 536L. As a yardstick the atomix serviced 345L with 2 nozzles, the V2 combo used 1 nozzle for 236L taking account of the dwc depth.

yes, we were also discussing giving him lots of room for various siphon heights without doing anything extra. Do you think it's better to go down to 18" and figure something out for the siphon, or just let it be at 24 inches or so and call it a day?

Its a personal choice really but it`ll be easier to raise the whole chamber on blocks versus trying to make the volume physically smaller Its likely he`ll be running an external res to figure out the nute strength etc, a few inches of nutes in a chamber that size could equate to a fair amount...i make it about 30L (8gal) per inch

Yea still able to do any height I just have te walls cut and sitting inside the 4x4 od trey I cut a drain in the trey cause I thought this was a drain to waste system I can easily patch it if not. Nice, the 18" of chamber height should be great- it seems to work fine for the Atomix. Not sure exactly how the ratings of the different nozzles differ between the 2 systems, but what matters is the Aerolife nozzles should work fine or possibly even better in the 18" depth than 24" or 36"- you might struggle with having long spray times to fill anything more with 2 nozzles. There is nothing wrong with the roots hitting the bottom, as long as the chamber is big enough in general for the mist to expand and mix around and has good drainage. Matter of fact- according to g-love you won't be off the hook for the handwatering until they reach the bottom, so might as well not make it take any longer than it has to.

ok so should I not worry about a silk screen or a root scrog? I thought we wanted to keep the roots off of the bottom to keep them out of the nutrients? or from becoming hydro roots?

Yes, you still don't want them sitting in pooling nutes, although you could probably get away with using a layer of NFT capillary mat on the bottom like G-love did. It will just make a sheet of fabric's thickness of wetcloth on the bottom, enough to buffer the plants slightly against wilt, but still not enough to bugger your root hairs. Also easier cuz u just have to lay the mat in the bottom vs stretching the silkscreen and having it slighlty elevated off the bottom. Would you agree Atomizer?

Dude I'm totally down to try an replicate his and would be more then happy if i got his results but at heart Id like to beat it . Where do I get this exact capillary Matt he used? This is awesome to try an replicate the atomix if I can it would be dream come true!

It was just nft spreader mat. I dont think you`ll have that much excess on the floor and in that chamber you`d need a gallon or two to make a puddle
