....so, a little about me and my situation.......2 years ago, i got sick...really sick....like, i wanted to end my life sick......which was substantial considering i have two beautiful kids that are my very breath........but i was fucked...i contracted Lyme for the third time, and it moved into my nervous system and heart, threatening my life.....to make a long story short, i ended up having to take very powerful anti-biotics for 8 months straight.......they saved me, but now a year later i am still trying to heal from the destructive nature of the drugs......my guts are a mess....because anti-biotics also kill the good bacteria and enzymes in your gut, and your gut is 80% of your immune system.....i could go on and on....but i won't.......one of the major tools i have found on my healing journey is the power of juicing organic fruits and veggies.....and i juice almost daily.....i have also just begun to juice raw cannabis, and am hoping that it will enable my immune system to regulate itself once again........anyways, one of the perks of juicing, is the incredible ammount of pulp you get.......it just so happens to be the perfect consistancy for worms to turn into castings very quickly......i recommend juicing to anyone wanting to improve their health.......and the castings you can produce are far superior to any you can buy anywhere! so without further ado.......worm food....and my food!

......so today i had to harvest some castings for my new batch of super soil......the easiest way to separate the worms from the poop, is to dump them out of the bin in the sun, with a fan blowing on them......form a four sided pyramid, and give the worms a few minutes to burrow back into the pile.....

....after a short spell, scrape down all four sides with a dust pan or something similar, until you reach worms....you will get a few in your scraping pile, but just chuck them back onto the pile.....start filling up you bucket with worm free castings.....give them another five or ten minutes to burrow back toward the center, and repeat........

Agree.

I too have a cold press juicer...and they are the ducks nuts. A bit slower than the high speed ones, but gets way more juice, easier to clean AND keeps the enzymes still alive (doesn't denature them).

Sucks about your condition bro...have you tried eating fermented foods like sauerkraut? Have to also add, once I went vegan I stopped getting sick...

in the mean-time, the bin needs to be re-loaded with a few simple ingredients.....corregated cardboard squares (for their shelter), food (jucing fodder), moisture, a little sand, (cause they have gizzards), and i throw in some used potting soil just for the hell of it.....wet it down, mix it up, throw your worms back in.....feed them every few days....and by the time you need to mix up your next batch of super soil......you will have like 50 pounds or so!

.......so i throw a couple cups of castings in a muslin bag, few tablespoons of sucanat, and powdered guano, for diversity.....and this is what i will inoculate my super soil with tomorow after i mix all the ingredients together including the harvested castings......for more info on worm farming, just google it....it is all over that shit........just thought i would share this with you all.......the sustainability factor, and the health benefits of organic farming is second to none, and gives me great pleasure....not to mention my health back!.....like hovering would say...."it's my geek"! be well nerds.......much love, nugs

Love the posts Nugs!

And thanks for the background on what you deal with daily health wise, sorry bro. It is nice to see people like yourself doing so much good in the world. I don't know why some people spend their precious time and energy bitching and moaning, such a waste.

Keep killing it. Your info is spot on and your photography is brilliant. Fan for Life.
