Im using an ez cloner they have been in about 5 days rez tem 72-75 clonex in rez 5ml per liter coning gel and rez clear running under a t5 about 12in away room temp is 70 ph is 5.9 in ro water ec is 1.0 and ppm is 520. never done these strains don't know if stems are supposed to be this color. no roots showing yet. took them from flower 4weeks in had to because of count limits in my state. i know i could have done another method earlier in flower but didn't. i want to know if its normal or should i be worried. they aren't red just purple.... One plant looks really dark purple but its the camera shot..:wall::wall:View attachment 2182091View attachment 2182090View attachment 2182089View attachment 2182087Thanks for any help

leaves are cupped a bit, also. i've never used an ez cloner, but it seems unusual to be feeding rootless clones.

clear rez to fight slim
clonex solution in rez recommended by alot of growers(does have some food properties)
root gel
i did do a foliar spray of b52 at .05ml per liter at transplant.

looking for any insight as to if its normal or something to worry about.

they may not have liked that foliar spray. it absorbed rapidly through the leaves........to go where? not much plant tissue to absorb and utilize those nutes, leading to toxicity. there's my bet. i never feed, nor spray clones. i let them use the energy in their leaves to make roots. hope they do well. happy gardening.

ride it out, imo.................
may not look better for a while, but i bet once rooted, new growth will be fine.

i cut clones with dirty scissors, use cheap root powder, and stick them in soil, or peat:)

Ive been using my 2 x 50 site DIY cloners for a year now. 99.9% success rate.

I never add ANY feed to clones and putting in clonex in the res is crazy. I add 30ml h202 into 40 litre of water and BOOM ... power roots! Nothing more is needed.

tbh ... plain tap water just works great too!

Well idk keep hearing good things on clonex im in a 30site which is about 135 liters i ran a small mout of 5mls a liter. I might dump rez and run straight ro but with the h2o2 doesnt it eat up the clone gel? What about sm-90?

What about this, What about that?!?

Dude, you want success or want to keep asking questions?
If youre putting 5ml of clones per litre of clonex in the res and it works, then stop whining on this forum. If it doesnt work for you, dont do it.
Simple.

I use a 5 gallon bucket made into a cloner that has 8 sites and I give no food at all...just plain pH'ed tap water. I usually have roots within a few days to a week at the outside...if I start clones on monday I am ready to plant them in soil or coco by the following monday...and I couldn't ask for more.

I agree, nothing more than water is needed.
I do use H2o2 and anecdotal evidence suggests it improved my results slightly.

I added some hydrorush stuff once and man the clones rooted even faster, but then once they had roots it is like the hydrorush jacks the ppm way way up so the plants they became suffered...or something...either way I used it once and got good, but then not good results so...didn't use it again and get good results...so eff it...no domes, no spraying, no feeding...they can root or they can die...they almost always choose root...

Most people take the same route you did. Start out buying the kitchen sink and the Hydro Shop owner loves to see you walk in, then move to plain old tap water and figure out they root in the same time and you have saved $35 - $65.

nope...got it as a sample...the guys at my hydro store just freeze up if I talk to them...I don't see they see very many girls in there...lol. they just seem confused when I speak, and I know more than they do since I actually do this, and their job is to sell their wares, not grow plants...lol I have bought 2 lines of nutes so far..nope nope nope...I have bought 3...everything else I have has been free..and I have tried so many things...I am too broke to buy things that might not work and I might not need...if you have no money to use you learn fast that plants can get by better with less than more...

I guess we could call my line of random and various organic amendments nutes so perhaps I have bought 4...3 of them I still use...I use the Gen hydro GO lineup, Canna Coco, I bought and hated some technaflora bullshit when I first started that I never threw out, just stuck in a box, and then the random and various guanos, and what have you....so I have bought 4 and still use 3. I got to the hydro store and grab what I need...no questions, but perhaps a little small talk..I like to see the funny faces the guys make...lol....

Agreed, and I think it does have to be plain old tap water. I dont think distilled, RO or purified water would work as well. I think the tap water contains the dissolved solids to make the magic happen.
