a) are you in a MMJ state?
b) are you at least 18 years old?
I doubt it.

Poor kid is going at it with a few giftcards etc. Sad way to start out. It takes so much time and effort to hone skills. I respect the yearning to learn, but cast doubt on the approach.

if he was in a legal state.......spend that money on some privacy screening, and use the sun. find free material on Craigslist, even. prolly even find some free chicken shit on there.

Just buy Fox Farm's Ocean Forest or Happy Frog. As far as nutes really depends on how much you wanna spend. A lot of people swear by Fox Farm's line of nutes, but it's fairly expensive. I use Jack's Classic Dynamic Duo. Cost me $8 per 1.5lb and the formula calls for 1/4 tsp per gallon so it will last me a LONG time. I've seen plenty of grows where it's been used. So many choices when it comes to fertilizer and that's not even counting organic methods. It really just depends on how much you're willing to put in to the grow. Better stuff means better quality/more bud.

Thanks cloudz, I will be getting
Fox farm's ocean forest organic Potting Mix
CFL 6 PACk 100watt
Outlet timer, Repeats daily
Thermometer
Plug in socket outlet Adapter plug 4x
pH,Light, & moisture meter
60$ Total on amazon
I have 95.69$ usable on amazon so again clouds whats a good nutes for the money I am limited to? I couldnt find your Jacks Duo thing.

This is for my PC grow Box, and For a fan I am gonna be using a good sized fan to blow out from it.
I have bought 24 Mixed seeds and 12 Fem seeds so I have the chance to learn from my mistakes on some things, but the products i cant make a mistake and buy stuff i dont need cause of really low money.

The truth is, you have to wander into the woods alone, get lost, then get help. There is no tutorial from scratch because there are so many different needs and approaches. If I were you I'd just prepare a SECURE outdoor spot as if you were growing tomatoes, get seeds in and go from there. Remember, the harvest from your first grow is in knowledge, not weed.

K first off don't bother with the equivalent for CFLs, just the actual. The bulbs you have are 23w Are you trying to do this outdoors or indoors? You got socket to outlet adapters, but what are you plugging them into? Keep in mind that if you do it indoors you're going to need to buy/build a container for the plants and line it with reflective material. With only $100 I don't think you can buy a grow room all set up, you'll probably have to DIY. https://www.rollitup.org/grow-room-design-setup/ There's no best way to build one, you build it to suit your needs. If you're doing it outdoors make sure it's very secure. Are your parents ok with this? If not growing outdoors may not be the best way to do this, unless you can drive to some out of the way woods. Also keep in mind the smell if you're doing it indoors. Cannabis doesn't really start to stink until flowering, but when it does it's easy to notice without some sort of smell absorption device or masker. That's more money you gotta spend. I'm trying car fresheners, which works great...but for like 3-4 days.

Also be aware that you only have enough lights for 2 plants MAYBE. (Ah I just noticed you're using a PC, you only have room for 2 plants anyway lol.) If you're going to use CFLs go ahead and buy y splitters and buy another 6 pack. Minimum wattage you want is 100w per plant. As far as fans go you're going to want to buy at least 2. Some people go 1 for intake one for exhaust, but I go 2 for exhaust and a passive intake. The goal is to bring in cool air and expel hot air in a different direction.

I would make a thread on the forum that I posted and ask for help regarding what you need for the box. Not a fan of the PC grows personally. Too much space management. You're probably going to need to research SCROG and LST, but that's down the road I guess.

As far as nutes go that would be the last thing I buy. You don't have to have em, although it helps a lot. I would be more concerned with getting everything else set up. Do you even have pots? Extra fertilizer is a supplement. Also google is your best friend, use it. http://www.google.com/search?sugexp=chrome,mod=9&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=nutes+for+cannabis. I feel like I'm spoon feeding a bit lol.

i suggest first timers grow outside.. you can grow quality bud for about 20 dollars, the cost of a good bag of soil.. plant and water. and come october you'll have bud. for your first time theres no need to make it anymore complicated than that. while your growing keep researching. thers plenty of threads that basically tell you from square one how to start growing indoors and outdoors.

if he doesn't smoke and is selling. He will make profit back +more, way more. I started wit a 400w invested 350-400 in my whole set up at the time. I'm a smker. I pulled 5 ounces. @ 400-450(5 years ago) i made my cash back . after that it's all profit.

You can do a cheap ass indoor grow off less than $100.

evenless if you got a couple old flourescent fixtures laying about, and arent afraid to get a little dirty.

Heres the basics i follow for every kind of plant, whether it's destined for indoors or out:

Earth!: It should be smooth, and devoid of any recognizable plant material such as sticks or twigs. compressed dried coco fiber is cheap and gets HUGE when you re-hydrate it, add some perlite and and fertilizers, and you can grow some shit in there. for pots, a paper egg carton with moist soil filling the egg cups to start seeds (snip them out and plant them in the paper cups when ready) several 6' pots (i save the ones from my nursery tomatoes every year) 1 gallon pots (old milk jugs painted a dark color will work) and some big pots for finishing (laundry/storage totes, 5 gallon buckets half wine barrels, whatever), or you can put you adult plants outside for the natural seasons to flower.

Air! : a simple oscillating desk fan turning back and forth will keep your leaves rustling and prevent fungus and moulds. It will also keep your plants breathing well, and strengthen their limbs and branches.

Water!: plain ordinary tap water will be fine if you can drink it without choking or cook with it. if your water tastes soapy, chemically, sour or bitter use purified water or rain water. if you have a water softener, GET YOUR WATER FROM THE PIPES BEFORE IT REACHES THE SALT TANKS!!!! if your house has a water filtration system, you cant go wrong with that.

FIRE!: Flourescent or compact flourescent lights will start and grow young plants really well. for a mixed bag of garden plants, use a timer and have the lights on for 18 hours and off for 6. (some plants need darkness to grow) for just cannabis, leave the lights on 24/7 it will cost you about 150-200 REAL watts of power (ignore the incandescent equivalent bullshit) if you do it right. less than most refrigerators. the powerful metal halide and high pressure sodium lights are more efficient at making light, but they also make more heat, and cost a lot to set up. for plant starting, flourescents work great.

Heart!: if you use a commercial fertilized potting mix, dont use fertilizers for the first month! after that, use a good water soluble fertilizer, and make it 1/4 str for baby plants, 1/2 str for plants over 10" high, and only use full str on big plants. any common fertilizer for tomatoes will work, but i use fox farms grow big for the trace elements when im growing in non-soil mediums (like cocoa fiber) any plant destined to grow outdoors will do fabulously in any rich soil thats well stocked with worms. no more fertilizers needed, if you prepare the soil right.

.And when these powers combine, they form CAPTAIN POTHEAD!

First chose the method of grow you want to employ. Space ceiling heighth, etc are all factors in growing. cabnet or floor, outdoors or in, all these things are important. Here is the first and perhaps, the best purchase you can make on amazon. I would suggest you get this before purchasing equipment. purchase Greg Greens "The cannibis grow bible." This will walk you through the processes from seed to harvest you can put it together as you go. It covers everything in 538 pages. encompasing everything you will need to know to get started sucesfully.

Got the grow bible, will read it all day till I Finnish it. I hate reading but if its interesting like this I usually do good.
Don't let it overwhelm you. The bible that is. Get the basics down, then along the road if you have issues, use it as a reference, as well as this forum. Honestly you should just use t12's and some fixtures. THeyre like 10 bucks at home depot for a shop light. I used 12 bulbs, in 6 fixtures and got decent results. It depends on the strain tho.

Might be true, after a little digging, damn internet rumours. But apparently in feb 2011 Scotts was bought up by ICL,

From the website...

ICL is one of the world’s leading fertilizer and specialty chemical companies. With exclusive concessions to extract high quality, low cost minerals from Israel’s Dead Sea and rights to mine the Negev Desert, ICL is a major producer of potash, compound potash and phosphate fertilizers, food grade phosphoric acid, elemental bromine, magnesium and a major player in specialty chemical high margin niche markets.

Fox Farms is NOT owned by Monsanto! They are still a Family Business!

Dude, relax...I posted a correction a few posts later, no need to yell. lol

Wouldnt that be a bitch if he ends up harvesting, he smokes and he decides he doesnt really like weed lol
Not really...Growing would just be aanother experience...Not like he's donating a kidney or something, it's only gonna take a few months out of his life. Not to mention growing ANY plant sucessfully is gratifying.
