I am in the swimming pool business and have to go on Unemployment Compensation for 3 1/2 months in the winter because the pools are closed and there is a lack of work. Thanks for thinking about me. Because of your required drug test my family and I just lost everything. See not so black and white.
Remember the ones who cry the loudest are usually the ones doing the dirt....The ones who want to impose on our personal freedoms ,have a closet full of dead bones. The folks who have compassion (lost word in America). Will always give freely...SOB's who have bled the country . Care, only about the next $...Like some sheeple on here (Seems like the folks ,i wouldn't want to smoke a bong with/phucking sad )..Hang in there /You/Family.....:bigjoint:.

Just look @ that Douche Curt Shilling..typical big mouth republican that tells anyone that will listen how gov handouts are no good and he is against them..until this turd goes belly up in his business and sticks the taxpayers with 75 million to foot the bill...or Tom Ricketts is against gov handouts until he buys the cubs and Ameritrade stocks go down and he wants 500 mill from chicago..fucking phonies.

Everyone that works for the gov is drug tested... I wouldn't be opposed except that it would likely cost us more than it would save. If you need the government to pay your bills then you shouldn't have enough surplus to spend on luxuries like drugs. But IMO you shouldn't be able to have a smart phone nor cable TV and collect either. "Help I can't pay rent/feed my kids but I have a $300/month TV bill, $120/month cell phone bill, and $500 a month electric bill because I grow pot - thank the lord for the CARE program otherwise it would be $2000/month."
I work for the gov and they never tested me.

so if I pay taxes for years on end and then have the sudden need for welfare am I not paying myself... it is tax payers money right??? and govt is getting a handout from the taxpayers they aren't just pulling money out of their asses to pay themselves... are they? stay high
In a way they are. They print more when they run out.

so let's spend even more tax payers dollars to catch less then 5% of the welfare recipients. either way the tax payers lose and much more so if we had just let them have the money... Florida ended up losing $200,000 on this whole thing to catch less than 2% of the welfare recipients. yea makes financial sense to me... I want to vote you into office... stay high
How much does a welfare recipient collect in a lifetime? How many persons were caught? $200,000 may be a bargain. Your 5% figure is probably too low. Do you have anything factual to support that figure?

Funny I know people on welfare. And when I mention McDonalds is hiring or something like that they always scoff at me. "I make more on welfare" is a common response. Or "I'm not going to flip burgers or clean up other peoples shit" is another. If we stopped babying these people they'd get their lazy asses out there and work.
Or steal............................ The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 10 characters.

Oh, I was just hoping. I can't imagine having such a silly business plan. Can you imagine if everyone with a seasonal job just went broke out of season? Yikes... But if that's acceptable I think I might have to go be a pot smoking ski lift attendant in Florida. I'm sure I'll have a job for at least a week out of the year and the rest is up to you guys. Thanks!

not only is this unconstitutional, it is costly.

Because the Florida law requires that applicants who pass the test be reimbursed for the cost, an average of $30, the cost to the state was $118,140. This is more than would have been paid out in benefits to the people who failed the test, Mr. Newton said.

As a result, the testing cost the government an extra $45,780, he said.

I keep hearing different numbers. I was originally against this idea because of cost but are you saying it only cost the state $45,780? Wow... crazy tiny number. And to think of how many people straight up didn't file claims. None of the articles address indirect savings.

There are farmers who get paid not to farm. Insane, isn't it.
What farmers get paid not to farm? And why? And whose fault is that? And what do these few bizarre farmers have to do with the subject? Are they on welfare?

By all means go after the absurb laws enabling this shit - http://abcnews.go.com/US/city-dwelling-landowners-paid-millions-farm-secondary-estates/story?id=13916915#.T-0Re_Vyy20

You think drug testing them would stop them? I think they'd sober up for the test...
