thanks puff.

im still lost as to how it fills up the top res with the float valve being on the bottom with no pump to pump the water against gravity?????

i really want to make a control bucket with float valves, but im not sure i could do it. would i have to have it more elevated than my res? or would i have my res more elevated than my control bucket?

Gravity is the pump, the top bucket is filled, it flows into the bottom bucket only when the float valve opens. Once the valve is opened water flows into the bottom bucket when the rising water forces the float up it closes the valve. You must keep the reservoir and the individual waterfarms all at the same height. Your tubing must lay on the ground or the water will not equalize. The system maintains the water level within a 2" range. Its foolproof, as long as its setup properly. I was going to build a platform for mine. It makes it much easier to flush the system. I decided to just put shut off valves all around so I could do maintenance. Elevating everything in the grow room was going to be a lot of work, but If you elevated the whole system it would make draining it much easier. Check out my new grow journal.

you can buy a complete sepeate reservoir, same as mine, for about $55. Once your finished building one, I guarantee your going to spend over $40. So yes you can save some money and build your own. But your not going to get one that stacks as nicely or one with the same dimensions and capacity. This thing is kinda of tall and hold 14 gallons in the top and 4 gallons in the bottom. If I was you I would just buy one, it comes with proven connectors and trust me the last thing you want is to have it leak all the time.

too late for that. i already bought a 55 gallon trash can on wheels.

modded it with no problems, no leaks, no nothing!!!!

that is not my actual res.

its just a water storage res for my RO. i keep double my res amount so incase i need to flush or something happened.... i have RO water on demand! I keep it aerated with the ario aerator 4, i used to rock with a rena 600(i think) and 3 bubble curtains. I think the ario aerator wins in quietness and bubbles/aeration. I have a pump inside that is hooked up to a ball valve that is hooked up to a hose with another ball valve to deliever the water to my main res

31.5" x 31.5" x 64"

It a nice tent, my only disappointment was the zippers, they broke during assembly. Tiny zippers considering how much there is to zip. Maybe ill write a letter to the manufacturer? I hate to return it to the store that special ordered it for me. The thing got shipped halfway around the world. Don't ask why I couldn't tell you, but it took almost 2 weeks to get delivered to the USA.

My only surviving Endless Sky seedling has turned into a big beatiful male :-(

I still dont know if the monster in the corner is a boy or a girl, but I think its going to be a male. Ill keep it going until it I know for sure. The Endless Sky is going to a new home to continue growing. That's a plant worth breeding. It looks like it should be on the cover of a magazine. It looks like a pedigree, if there was such a thing. The second batch of over sized clones I took last week are all doing great! As soon as they root I will replant the garden with them. Ill hold onto to this strain until I can get something nicer to clone from. Here are some new pics

Day 34 (I checked the calender this time)

hey puff nice ladies man, i have the same grow tent and havnt got a hydro setup yet. what are you using?
I love these General Hyrdroponics Waterfarm Buckets. They are modular and have a two stage reservoir with a float valve. Im still learning how to keep my nutes at the right level but its been really forgiving so far.

You think those are forgiving you should try you hand at a "HEMPY BUCKET" now those are easy.. You water and forget..

Those tents are nice because they come with pre made holes for venting and belts to hang the cabon filter from the roof of the tent

Sunleaves Windtunnel 4" centrifugual fan (200/cfm)/4" x 12" Odorsok (190/cfm)/Cooltube (works with 400/600/1000 bulbs just need the ballast)
I have a 400w digital ballast I plan on using with it. I just need to rewire the dam thing, the plug doesnt match my ballast. My buddy who is an electricion is going to wire it up for me. Try not to make the same mistake if possible.

Ok you have me curious how much the whole setup costs so:

Fan - $139.99 I love these fans!
Odorsok - $44.95
Cooltube - $85.95
Darkroom - $172.99
Waterfarms -$254.98
+ extra unit - $27.23
50lbs Hyrdoton - $31.99
400w bulb - $34.95/MH conv & HPS $29.95
400w ballast $155

That comes to a total of $977.98 w/o shipping charges.

Ouch, I think I liked it better when I didnt know.
