Ok, so last night i threw my Delicious Fruity Chronic Juice between some wet paper towels, it has begun!!! Sadly the first few days are always so filled with anxiety! Checked on her (i hope! fem seed) this morning, no activity, gave her some breaths of fresh air and sealed her back in her tupperware bed, snugged under some fleece pants i wear as pajamas in my drawer. hope she's cozy enough! As soon as she gets a nice little tail ill place her in her first home, a red party cup (unless i can get to the hydro store sooner and find coco peats!) and give her her first watering of distilled water with 1/8 strength Hesi TNT nutes. I feel its a tad bit necessary because the coco has 0 nutes the seedling would use the first few days/weeks. Correct me if im wrong tho!!! I plan on gradually increasing nutes as she gets older, like i stated in my older post, only now its been revised to 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, Full Strength @ 0-1 weeks, 2-3 weeks, 4-6 weeks, and 7 weeks through to harvest respectively. Hope that makes sense yall!

I'll post pics when i have a seedling!

Stuck her in the ground today guys, about 10 mins ago! im not sure if i should put the lights on quite yet seeing as i wanted an early morning start, but i didnt want the tap getting any longer! Twas about 3cm. Will it be ok in the coco without light for the day? or should i bite the bullet and change the light schedule? Thanks!

WHOOPS, realized a noob mistake and switched the lights, had the 2700k burning when i meant for 6500K! Alls good now tho folks. Btw, temps and humidity are ok for now, ill check again before i leave for work, but ill think we're under way!

Alrighty RIU, so some things have happened since last we spoke, first of all its Day 3 from germination and already shes poking her head out of her coco solo cup! Have a makeshift dome over her and its working very well! I'll take some pics in the morning because its already lights out!

No feed for a few days.

A word about lighting! Have decided NOT to get an LED light.... haha. Suppose i should probably start a new thread! Instead, i'll be getting a 200w 8u CFL to place horizontally on the top while using the two 125w Mini Lotus Bulbs i have as added light on the sides! This will give me a total of 450w actual of CFL. I realise this may not be "equal" or anywhere close to the LED (or it may be fucking better, suck it, who knows), but its SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper haha. I'll take the money i save and probably invest in a decent ph meter or somethin.

So, thats that. I'll start a new thread when i actually order the damn CFL, because im an indecisive asshole sometimes! :P

Aight, like i said, pics in the am.

Ok guys, heres my baby, im a lil worried, the first set of leaves she has look slightly brown. Could be my eyes, but i hope its not nute burn ALREADY! I did put 1/4 nutes in the water i used to expand my coco, but only because theres no nutes in the coco to begin with! I took the makeshift humidity dome off this morning so now she's absorbing full light. The 125w is about 4" away from her right now. The bulb emits very low heat. I have a towel that i dampened to raise humidity inside the box, its currently at 55% w/o the towel so we'll see what it raises to. Temps are fine at 77F. Should i leave the dome off or would be beneficial at all to replace it?

Anyways, heres some pics! Hope the quality's alright :/

I've found seedlings are a bit more happy at first with higher humidity(70-90%), but as soon as your second or third leaf set its time to harden off those girls. I drop my seedlings straight into foxfarm organics in 1gal pots. I like this because it holds moisture longer with more soil mass, and the foxfarm soil gives everything the seedlings need for a few weeks. I have 5 white rhino and a Aucapulco Gold clone currently in my veg chamber with one 125w florawing. They are doing great and i'll try and get some pix up of the seedlings. Just remember to KISS them. (Keep It Simple Stupid). I have some pix up on my journal post of my adult plants flowering right now. This is my first grow and the white rhinos will be my second go, bud not the first time ive grown things. Good luck and don't be impatient.

As for Co2, I've read a few articles that say it is not only unnecessary, but not useful for a small area like the bins. Supposedly won't notice a difference with or without it. It's much more beneficial for larger grow ops.

True Unless your producing over 15,000 lumens your plant cant use the co2. And most of use CFL er's dont quite make that ..

For sure! Thanks for subbin up! I'll do my best to impress! What do you feel you did wrong? Also, not sure, but I think we both might be around 15,000 lumens at least/sq ft. I mean, 500w? Seems like an adequate amount of watts for 15,000 lumens. Not sure, gonna have to research it a bit more.

Sup All. Ok so today it seems my lady is back on track, as far as growth rate, since our little accidental supercrop haha. Anyway, She's looking nice and green, standing tall, and i can see her second set of leaves coming in now. Actually, I've noticed growth since I last checked her an hour ago! Tiny growth, but growth nonetheless! I looked under the solo cup and one of her roots is sticking out already! This probably means I'll be transplanting tomorrow. After she's in her new home and adequately watered in, ill give her a few days to recover and then begin my regular feeding schedule. Remember, we're gonna be in coco and smartpots, which means I'll probably be feeding once a day, to every other day, depending on her needs. Will be starting off with the before mentioned Hesi TNT @ 1/4 strength. This will begin immediately after the transplant me thinks.

Alrighty, on to the pics!

IMG_1036.jpg

Here she is, you can see the new set of leaves! Hooray! Sorry, I'm giddy, I love knowing things stay alive with me!

IMG_1038.jpg

Turned her cup so she'll re-lean towards the light, I turn it everytime. Lights abut 2" away, with no heat. Great fucking bulb lol.

IMG_1039.jpg

Here and in the next pic you can see the root poking out. gotta trans!

Aliright folks, I'm out for now, got a famo bday today.

Yessum! Just transplanted her today into her 2gal smartpot. Didnt get a chance to feed/water her in like I wanted. Sister in law was over so had to stay low haha. Will feed tonight before lights off or early tomorrow after lights on. Depends how she looks, so far the cocos been moist enough ive felt for a seedling she should be ok. besides, she seems to be taking the transplant nicely. But her second set of leaves are lookin good and her first set (not cotyledons) are big n healthy as well. I feel shes still slightly recovering after our mishap, but the feeding should boost her to normal. Next week I think ill start regular feedings.

the race has begun ladies n gents. So sit back and watch this noobie tackle his first grow!

Pics later, just a quick update right now.

Ifs been a while from when i did the math but i think with the 200 watt and the 300 watt im at about 12,000 lumans. i ll check later when i got time...with my coco grow i dont think i fed it enough nutes .like with soil i just gave it nute 1 time a week and water inbetween, and i ended of with small buds and streachy growth

Hmm, well guess im not worried about c02 then! i still breathe on my plants often enough lol.

With the coco i've read feedings need to be fairly regular if not everyday! I fed mine last night with a small amount, gonna go to the store and grab some more water today. She's gonna start getting regular feedings, but not everyday. Keep in mind, coco has 0 initial nutrients, that even the seedlings need to grow. I think around flower time ill start feeding daily, or at least when she gets a bit bigger!

I'll post pics a bit later when lights are on.

Here's some pics of her today. You'll notice, not much growth has taken place. the second set of leaves has maybe doubled in size but that;s not saying much. Like I said, I just transplanted her last yesterday morning, and fed her for the first time last night before lights off. It'll probably take a few days for her to take off, seeing as she needs a root system and needs to get used to her new home. Good news is, she looks healthy lol. Nice n green, and no signs of nute burn so thats good! Enjoy my lil mama! (edit: just noticed my camera skills suck. get used to it.)

Yea man, I saw a post about a company Blumat. Looks legit. Not too expensive and easy to set up. Might pick one up when I can get a few more ladies growin! But for now i enjoy the closeness :p

I pre-mixed the coco with 1/4 str Hesi Nutes, and I also gave her a small 1/4 str feeding, but other than that she's been on her own. Hopefully im taking care of her the way she likes, i'm still extremely new to all this haha! Probably tomorrow i'll give her another small feeding, but i'm hoping she'll have grown a bit more. I'm so damn impatient, i forgot about the root system needing to develope, just wish i could watch that too! Perhaps a full hydro set up is in my future lol.

I did figure out how i can take clone this girl if i want! Figure i'll just rig up a pc case and name it my clone box! Saw a post where he cloned with ONLY coco, says its better than aero cloning. Worth a try since i've got the supplies! Only thing is, im not sure when to take a clone from 12/12 fs lol. I heard you can do it in flower no big, but sounds like it'd give more chance to hermie no? When's a better time to clip, if any? Would rather experiment on clones than pop more seeds! Their still limited for me! lol

Aight all, no real updates today so, :peace:ut!

Ok, so today is Day 10 (from sprout, made a noob mistake and was counting from germ for some reason), she's gotten a bit bigger as you can see, and is finally getting back on track. She's still a little behind, but i don't think id say stunted. Take a look and see for yourself! Gave her a few feedings since the last update, and I just got done feeding her 10mins ago. This time I ran the water and 1/4 str Hesi TNT through her 3 times. Seems she liked it, not sure, will see.

IMG_1050.jpg
Added a little grid for her to sit on, stuck a planter tray underneath for the pot to drip any extra's i missed from watering. Thinking i'll have to cut the legs and make it a bit shorter, fine for now, but when the girl starts stretching for flower might run into problems. shall see.

IMG_1046.jpg
Her third set of leaves are coming in. If you look close you can see there already five bladed!

IMG_1044.jpg

Also popped another bean, Heavyweight's Green Ninja. Seems legit, even tho the names kinda weird haha. I can see the taproot sticking out barely, so tomorrow i'll stick her in a solo cup. Wanna see just how behind my FCJ bean is. I know I originally said 1 plant, but I want to try and get a clone box setup in the next few weeks. Been looking for a wardrobe/armoire to stick it all in. will be a much better solution to my needs. Stealth, and plenty of room for my perp grow. If i can't find a box good enough, i'll makeshift a clone box so I can take some clippings. I'm thinking about 3-5 per plant, giving me about 5-10 clones and hoping for only half to make it through! Next grow I plan on using some 20oz cups I picked up, and get a small SOG going with the clones. I can do this in the sterlite bin with a small clone box on the side, but I'd rather have it all in one box, for added stealth.

Aight, that's it for now I guess. As always, questions comments and concerns are always welcome!

Stay green and :peace:ut!

I forgot to tell you...I looked at that link you dropped on me...it was awesome. I think I'm going to do a sog with clones from the tent in the sterilite bin!
