Hello everyone, I'm running 3x Critical Jack Autofem and 1x Critical+ autofem. After seeing the difference after two weeks I thought some might be interrested in how they compare when grown in the exact same enviroment.

week 1-3 (125w CFL) in a small cabinet
week 3-9/10 (400w hps) 1mX1mX2m tent

Pic1,Critical+ is 1st on the right. Pic2, Critical+ is on the right

As you can see the Critical+ is about half the size. All four plants are growing nice and healthy, but the Critical Jacks are total troopers. These Pics were taken on day 13 and day 14.

Right on Bro. That is really interesting because I definitely prefer Dianfem over all others.

But the critical + strain is shorter! That's better for an auto! (Who wants long stemmed MJ???)

Please be sure to post a smoke report.

Also, are you using chemical or organic fertilyzer? As I understand it, the "critical" strains are intended for growers who want to use chemical nutrients, and "Jack" strains are for growers who want to focus on quantity (with okay quality).

Also, do you intend to gro for quality or quantity?

Please be sure to post a smoke report! I'd like to know if the Critical Jack produces the same quality as the Critical +.

I like dinafem aswell, havent failed me yet. I find the open structure of the critical jack to be a nice bonus - it doesnt get too tall so a 400w hps can penetrate nicely down right to the lowest bud. My first CJ had no popcorn at all, every flower cluster was respectable. When I move the girls into the bigger tent under the HPS I'll use bricks to adjust canopy height, hopefully dealing with the height mismatch issues. Using organics all the way, so hope the Critical+ coupes.

The first Critical Jack I grew turned out great, not the strongest weed, but a nice hybrid high and amazing taste. This time around I'm growing autos for speed/yeild as my setup has been dormant for a while, probs onto photoperiods after.

I'm expecting the Critical Jacks to provide more yeild and end up taller, and the Critical+ to be smaller but stronger. I was gona run 4XCJ but I thought I might aswell toss in the Critical+ and see if I can learn something :)

I'll be sure to post a final report on the strains aswell

<Day17>

First flowers yesterday on all four plants, bizzare how all four girls are workin on the exact same schedule. Releaved that the tall Critical Jack isnt male, was beginning to wonder. Once I repot at the weekend these girls are going to really explode. In these pics I have used dvds to even canopy heigh, Critical+ is first on the left in the group shot. Its catching up slightly to the others but remains alot smaller.

Thanks bud, these plants are a joy to work with, they are very forgiving at first. Last time around I had trouble keeping the critical jack healthy looking, still performed very well though, just yellowed a great deal fairly early.

Cheers man, using a Canon EOS 5D mark2. You can get a nice shallow depth of field with it and it seems to handle macro stuff very well.

<Day 21>

So here we are after the repotting, but before the transition to HPS lighting. The girls were looking a bit sorry for themselves the day after repotting so I decided to leave them a few days to recover.

Critical+ is now catching up to the Critical Jacks, must just be a slower starter. I cant imagine it being as productive as CJ in flower though as they are true machines as stated in the breeder's description, again time will tell.

Had a few deficencies showing just before the repotting as you will see in my pic, it has stopped since the repotting though.

The girls are really beginning to smell now, a carbon scrubber is gona be required in the comming few days.

<Day 22>

Under the 400w hps now and the plants are taking a little bit of a shock. They are still growing fast but looking a bit droopy. Should be fine in a few days once they adjust.

The stems are getting a thicker now, and the sidebranches are really stretching. Critical+ catching up fast now, its only 1" shorter than the two smaller Critical Jacks, and 2" smaller than the tallest Critical Jack.

Hard to imagine these girls only broke soil 22 days ago and they are a foot tall.

First 2 pics are Critical+, you can see that the sidebranches have produced another inch of growth since yesterday. The next two pics are the tall Critical Jack Pheno, displaying slightly more sativa leaves. The last pic is the more indica Critical Jack, it is looking the happiest out the four.
