It is funny to see who comes in here and trolls knowing nothing about the local justice system.
Guns are a slap on the wrist right now......they don't have room in the county jails to hold non-violent offenders ever.

And this guy quoted my OP and say I would shoot somebody over a plant......obviously they are illiterate.

I'm gonna leave this thread be......it is quite entertaining watching people show how much they DON'T know about what they are saying.

Don't forget 10-20-Life being pushed right now.

Carry a gun while committing a crime? 10 years mandatory minimum.
Pull the gun? 20 years.
Fire the gun (whether someone is hit or not)? Life.

GOOD news is, if they are going to keep these guys, there will be less space for growers ;)

Yeah that is only if you are committing a crime

Protecting your family isn't a crime

My buddy(who is a convicted felon, of charges including a firearm) just got caught with a pistol and they released him in 13 days.......

I don't believe all the shit they put on T.V. and billboards. I have heard the judges, lawyers, and cops laugh about things in the court room that would be outrageous to some people.

I believe your winchester link is a typo on the seller's part, the model 92 was offered in 25-20, 32-20, 32 Winchester center fire, 38-40 and 44-40.
To my knowledge there never has been a 40-40 cartridge commercially available or offered in a Winchester.
The op talked about this very early in the thread where he named the caliber correctly.

Sounds like your about to head back to the joint. An ex con as you say with a gun equals more vacation time with bubba. Thats where you belong if your going to shoot someone over a fucking plant. Besides there is no such thing as a 40-40 winchester
Buddy had a levergun that was as likely to misfire as not. He called it a 50/50. cn

yeah. In that link they were probably referring to the 44-40......if not, perhaps a 30-30?? but the only 30-30 I have seen was the model 94

Usually yes. This gun had issues. He had it fixed, still didn't like it. Sold it. cn
Yeah.....I had a .25 caliber pistol that jammed like a sum bitch.....I could only get two shots off and it would jam........It was the most inaccurate pistol I have ever had the displeasure of firing.

lol .25. I had a Beretta that was completely reliable and decently accurate, but it was no pleasure to shoot ... even though I got the full reloading setup for it (had to have a machinist make the Lee Priming Tool shellholder). All gone in the divorce.

But the .25 is not a safe thing to have on you ... its principal effect is to enrage your opponent.
I remember a story of two brothers. One emptied a .25 into the other's gut. The other then proceeded to kill his brother with the shovel he was holding, after which he died. cn

All AR-15 owners in california! The senate amended a bill making all AR-15's illegal and it's on the next ballot. There trying to make them be a bolt single action with now detachable mag. So buy em while u still can!

i went to school with a guy who was riding his bike in the next town over from me when a couple guys confronted him and ended up shooting him with a .25 auto. He took three rounds while holding his arms up, forarms crossed, in from of his face. One round went cleanly through his forearm between the bones and missed his head. One round went into his belly and missed all vital organs before lodging just under the skin on his back. The THIRD round hit one of the bones in his forearm, followed his arm bones into his shoulder, ricocheted off a bone there and went through both lungs, barely missing his heart. He rode about 3 blocks before collapsing on the lawn of a paramedic.

Luckily, he lived.

Very very lucky guy. The usual mechanism of death from a .25 shot is peritonitis. It's a deadly round ... in 2 to 4 days. cn

Lol. Yeah, i have never owned one. Had a Jennings .22 that was a piece of crap. Picked it up in a trade and ended up junking it.

For defense, anything smaller than a .380 (and that's PUSHING it imo) is a good distraction and that's about as far as it can be RELIED upon.

Yeah......I have seen a .25 bullet get lodged into a sock before lmao......It burned the shit out of the guys ankle though lol.......My .22 Ruger was always very accurate from long distance....Main thing with small caliber handguns is to get as many shots off as possible and put them where they count.
