UncleBen, if you're growing in soil, silicon is redundant. Soil minerals add it on their own. I would only see silica as useful in full-inorganic hydro grows on non-mineral substrate. Rockwool users, for example, are already getting silica. cnYou can use whatever you want, I don't really care. I'm just saying I don't need nor care about "....is an easy to use liquid concentrate" silicon products......doesn't matter who's pimping them. Guess you missed my point - just because it's for sale, is popular and is explained in a vendor's ad doesn't mean shit, at least not to me. I have NEVER used silicon products and I have been growing all kinds of plant material for over 40 years both on an amateur and commercial basis and that includes cannabis. My plants (and that includes thousands of trees, veggies, grapes, nuts, fruit, berries, etc.) are disease and insect free, without need for the application of pesticides except for my grapevines which require fungicide sprays because of bunch rot pressures. As soon as I get a new cam I'll post photos of my current plants, they are gorgeous dark green....very healthy. The only nutritional treatment they've received since they were germinated in uh.......April is a 12 month slow release 18-5-8 with micros. Being that the food doesn't contain Mg (but my water source does) they occasionally get a very light hit of epsom salts, about once a month. Custom soil blend done by touch and feel, no real measuring.
Now, I've been schooling guys like you for over 15 years regarding "essential" versus "beneficial", a concept you may be embracing......just don't know it.

About 6 years ago I got the full line of h&g given to me. Then they were new, House-n-whatever... But I used the root excel and gave a friend one of the packets of shooting powder. Worked for him.. he was back begging me for the rest of them.I have seen the results from shooting powder. Not my own work, but someone I know. The results were very clear.
I really don't care what stays and what goes at Troll-It-Up. The only fit I throw is when Aunt Benita burns my toast!lol took mine out too. Ben must have thrown a fit.
Yeah, I bet.must be careful and go through shooting powder directions very well, if you do too much you will burn the living hell out of your girls
I for one believe it would be interested if testing is done, I smoke my own and am not in it for making money, but rather medicinal value.. I used bud blood last year and was happy with the results. It would also be interesting to see concentrations in Bud vs leaf. Many times people associated with an industry have a bias, I came from a small uranium town, most were all for it, we did have leukemia clusters, not everyone was effected, but our house was bought by the mine when we moved and destroyed, apparently high radiation levels in the basement where my room was as a kid. So far so good but I wonder some times.god i love people like budman111, looks like caps lock truly is cruise control for cool. the whole point of the experiement is purely for science, curiosity, and to let those that have used it know what is going into their bodies. all plant material will inevitably be destroyed, and no one will be smoking it. my search for bigger better more potent bud is done through genetics not through dangerous pgr's. Look at how long these nutrient lines were out there, how much product they sold, and ask yourself just how many people have become directly effected by these pgr's. Yes Cali does a great job at finding and banning these substances, but there are still many places that still use them with impunity. and these items are still availeble online to those that do not know what is in them, or do not understand the implications. i am not a fan of these substances, i just think that the information about how they effect the growing/smoking community is incomplete. and as for budman111, im sure your plants get plenty of electrolytes
Well you have good point about operator s fault for overnutrient, etc. As for me, i have use this same strain for years because its great med for me...since i know this strain very well...i use many different nutrient under same strain that i grew many times...I can attest that bud blood or bud ignitor is overpriced and dont perform well like Dyna Gro. i gotta disagree with ya about DG is designed for inexprienced growers. Many old timers and farmer whos doing big commerical time, use this DG products , because its complete nutrient and nice balance foods. To be honest, DG is very potent than AN if you ask me. If DG dont exist, i will use my old favorite is GH 3 part. After all its about weed !i always think it's funny when growers blame their nutes or an additive for shitty plants. 99 times out of 100 it is the growers fault and not the nutes. if you actually know what you are doing then i don't see why you can't grow healthy plants with anything from straight organic soil and tea to full on sythentic nutrient lineups. blaming a nutrient company for your lack of knowledge or failures is just trying to shift the blame away from the real problem.
Dyna is a great 1 part nutrient system that is designed for inexperienced growers or those who just want to feed it and forget it. i prefer a little more control over my plants than a 1 part system has to offer. considering every strain and environment is different. i would like to have more control over my exact nutrient formula and there is no "all in one" nutrient formula out there.
hey man, different strokes for different folks. i know quite a few commercial growers and none of them use Dyna. none of the commercial guys on this site use it either. none of the commercial guys i "know of" use it either. i'm not bashing it but i don't like single part nutes. less control. plus, you really can't compare Dyna to Bud Blood or Bud Ignitor. one is a base nute and the others are additives. problem is most guys think that because AN sells all these additives that you need to buy them all. any grower will tell you that you pick and choose what you need depending on your style, strain, medium, etc... i'm not saying buy all of AN's additives, but quite a few of them are very good depending on your style of grow. in reality, Dyna is actually a lot less potent than AN. we did the test in a thread in the nutrient section because Homebrewer kept saying the opposite and i thought it was not true. we tested Dyna Grow and Bloom against Sensi 2 part and Connoisseur and both AN products came out about 20% more potent. plus, the Sensi line is only about $10 more than Dyna. yes, you use less Dyna because it is a 1 part nute and those are 2 part nutes. but in reality it doesn't matter because you are getting a gallon of A and a gallon of B. you willrun out of your gallon of Dyna before i run out of my gallon of part a & b.Well you have good point about operator s fault for overnutrient, etc. No i dont feel that you re bashing at me or anything, feel me ? i just wanted to share with y all with my exprience by using this bud blood and bud ignitor..i did it in fair way. I gotta agree with ya about grow style that many growers have their own practice in their envoirment. they know whats dial in, just like you, I respect it.hey man, different strokes for different folks. i know quite a few commercial growers and none of them use Dyna. none of the commercial guys on this site use it either. none of the commercial guys i "know of" use it either. i'm not bashing it but i don't like single part nutes. less control. plus, you really can't compare Dyna to Bud Blood or Bud Ignitor. one is a base nute and the others are additives. problem is most guys think that because AN sells all these additives that you need to buy them all. any grower will tell you that you pick and choose what you need depending on your style, strain, medium, etc... i'm not saying buy all of AN's additives, but quite a few of them are very good depending on your style of grow. in reality, Dyna is actually a lot less potent than AN. we did the test in a thread in the nutrient section because Homebrewer kept saying the opposite and i thought it was not true. we tested Dyna Grow and Bloom against Sensi 2 part and Connoisseur and both AN products came out about 20% more potent. plus, the Sensi line is only about $10 more than Dyna. yes, you use less Dyna because it is a 1 part nute and those are 2 part nutes. but in reality it doesn't matter because you are getting a gallon of A and a gallon of B. you willrun out of your gallon of Dyna before i run out of my gallon of part a & b.
yea, that's a huge part too. a lot of these seed companies are just blasting out whatever they can for money. i think it's always a good idea to grow out a few seeds till you get a good pheno. No i dont feel that you re bashing at me or anything, feel me ? i just wanted to share with y all with my exprience by using this bud blood and bud ignitor..i did it in fair way. IMHO , many growers especially at the new growers , they tend to overlook the good genetic seeds. If they know where to get a good and high quality of genetics they will have killer bud and dank, not the food plant.
happy gardening and peace
Only a noob would make such silly blanket statements about a quality product such as Dyna-Gro. The ONLY quality food used by professionals. I'm talking commercial folks doing acres of tomatoes under glass or lights, not some quack falling for Advanced Shyster type hype.i always think it's funny when growers blame their nutes or an additive for shitty plants.

Don't those guys usually have an onsite pro mixing and adjusting the feed from the primary salts? cnOnly a noob would make such silly blanket statements about a quality product such as Dyna-Gro. A grower adjusts all facits of growing. Nutes is just a small part of it.Don't those guys usually have an onsite pro mixing and adjusting the feed from the primary salts? cn
