3.75 ain't the end of the world, it helps keep those assholes who can't afford their SUVs and trucks off the roads somewhat but the reason gas is more expensive in other nations is because they have a universal health care system most likely and much of that is put on gas tax.
We pay the equiv of $10.14 a gallon for petrol. While part of the tax on fuel will most likely be due to the cost of the NHS, it's not really the case. The UK government has no control of it's finances, they are retarded, they tax us on everything they can possbily imagine. With regard to car insurance, insurance in the UK is INSANE, unaffordable for many many people, and there is no comptetition, and the government doesn't launch anti-competitive invetigations into it because the government takes 10% tax from every policy sold. Road tax can cost you £1030 a year depending on your car and if it was made after 2010. They will give you a fine if you're caught so much as sneezing when behind the wheel even if you are stationary, a woman was fined because a policeman saw her eating an apple while driving claiming she was not in control of her vehicle. They want our money and they want it BAD
