i think you're confusing 'tolerance of' with 'support for'.

if you want to an example of how much love there is for islam in this country, look no further murfeeesboro or the NYC mosque. fully within their first amendment rights to do so, yet a majority of the nation wanted to cut off those first amendment religious rights from them.

and now you sit here and want to tell me there is a war on religion because preventive medicine for women is being treated as preventive medicine.

You only say that because of the lopsided numbers, with the little rise we're seeing in the US of Islam we are also seeing rise in planned or attempted terrorist attacks. We're back to the "lesser of two evils" argument but once this dog is let out of the cage it will be impossible to handle. As Islam grows in America we will see the increased violence, we will also see the government strip our liberties to monitor "homegrown terrorist" (already doing it through different internet bills as we speak).

I don't have a problem with peaceful Muslims but working around them for so many years in the Philippines I can tell you they are a dangerous lot and hard to tell if they will smile at you or stab you. The last incident that caused me to resign was being hit in the face 3 times with the barrel of an AK47, I really figured that was my last hooraw. My crime? Being American, apparently that's all it takes. I was installing DSLAMs for PLDT, ironic I was helping the nation that was about to kill me. Maybe I am a little bias but I do not ever want my family to have to worry about shit like that.

I'm intolerant of a lot of things. One of them being religious extremists. Christianity IMO is just as bad if not worse than Islam for all the people that have died for it. The difference is, Christianity isn't going to put a gun in YOUR face where as Islam will. Put the shoe on the other foot and what do you have?
