amber trichs already?

By my count im about 3 days into week 6 and im already seeing about 20% amber trichs, 70% milky, and 10% clear.....lots of red hairs but not all...i dont want too many amber trichs and am wondering if i should start a 10 day flush then harvest???....this would be about 8 days earlier then anticipated ...and no im not being, impatient i dont mind waiting but i would mind having degraded thc....im using a 45x jewelry loupe with led and they are for sure 70%milky 20%amber....wish i could take pics through the loupe but yea...pics taken today

Are you confusing pistols with trichome? Pistols are the” hairs” trichome are the little sticky water drop looking things...the frost....the sugar!
 
Lol def not confusing the trichs and pistils...i am looking at the mushroom like resin glands/ frostyness under a loupe

But thanks man it is Master Kush from Nirvana...real dense nugs and that signature kush smell :) its awesome...question, do indicas call for more amber trichs? My girls are an indica dom hybrid

Master kush is actually a Hindu kush x skunk hybrid, which would explain it...yours looks good mang...

So what would you do? Imma start a 10 day flush Friday i think then harvest just the top half
 
Very interesting you say that! I think its a good idea. I made a recent thread about just that! If you flush then harvest the first half, how do you re introduce nutes to the pants? have you done that before?
 
as long as you keep noticing a difference in growth then keep them going. nervana says "7-10 weeks flowering", so i'd just keep on with what you have planed & keep an eye on bud growth.
 
I want to hear from someone who has only cropped half in a hydro system. Soil I understand, but how does that work in hydro with the final flush and all!
 
Might be something in the air this year. I just chopped down my sour d last night. She was at 6 weeks and was about 40% amber already.

Yea that's a good idea, its my favorite strain of all time! Its the first Kush on the planet, your smoking history! Its a real Heavy yielder, and its an easy grow....
 
u looking at the sugar leaves, or the calyxs?, im getting that percentage, on my sugar leaves but my buds have no amber with a speckling of cloudy. Those buds dont look done to me

Im looking at the calyxes...i agree they're not done yet but i want to start flush 10-14 days before harvest and im thinking i only got about two weeks left given the percentage of amber/ milky trichomes...im looking for 50/50...its at about 25/75 right now...i was just asking if i should start flush soon
 
check the calyxes today and tomorrow. if you see a significant increase in the amber, start flushing imo

Thanks man will do...i was thinking of starting Sunday which would be the start of week 7 then harvest 10-14 days later depending on the look of the trichs and pistils
