Messed Up Great White shark

So here is the deal I have a 50 day old great white shark that has some white hairs but is not even clustering yet. I have NO IDEA what to do. Since it has no flowers growing yet this has to mean the genetics are fucked. I am doing it 20/4 should i try changing to 18/6? Or am I basically fucked and the plant will just die I dont get it.

Yup Auto great white shark by seedsman I am pissed I had high hopes for this plant I mean I cropped out a afghan kush ryder already and it was only a week older than this plant LOL

I hope so I am thinking of switching to 14/10 to see if anything happens but it has been used to 20/4

Yes no brainer, next time do 18/6 until you see a hair or they get to be the size of a basketball than change to 12/12, wait six to eight weeks, dry and smoke.

The first two weeks of 12/12 you will pick up another two feet or so on that plant, dont worry that is normal.

Exactly what I thought but this is the first plant I have had do this. I do not get why buddy says it is a no brainer if it is a auto it is supposed to flower even under 24 hour light.

Just because it said auto flower when you bought it not always going to be. At this plant size if it aint working go back to mother nature.

Sometimes I get fem seeds and they turn out to be males, not a lot, very slim chance but it does happen. You have to deal with makiing this girl productive at this point.

You are right it could of been a normal shark and they mixed up the seed.

I understand odds etc but i thought autos would be different.
Do you know how they get the photoperiod out of them? is it using genetics from equatorial strains or something?

I just harvested two that were planted at the end of June, one auto and one feminized. I saw no dif at all in veg or flower. I did put them in 12/12 at the same time, both grew perfect, flowered and it knock out stuff. The auto harvested ten days before the fem but it was an indica and the other a hybrid so that is normal anyway.

That is my only exp with an auto and it just was like everything else I grow. I saw no dif at all. I have another right now with another fem just seedlings but both on 18/6 and all is well. Go figure

I will take your advice starting today I will go 12/12. I assume within a few days I should see more hairs??

If its showing preflowers just leave it on 18/6. Autos DO NOT NEED to go on 12/12 at all unless they are just bad phenotype without the auto gene in. If your plant is showing white hairs then leave it on 18/6 and just be patient. A plant wont show hairs unless it thinks its time to flower so just leave it. Maybe go to 15/9 light period at the least. But if you got hairs, then just chill lol Have you got any better pics? Like high res close ups?

Some autos don't flower for a number of reasons (bad genetics, mistake from the supplier...) but by day 30 if I don't see any pistil/bud coming out I switch them to 12/12.
The same thing happened to me with some Auto Jock Horror seeds.

BTW autos DO flower under 24 hour light, I did it with my last grow (Bio Diesel Mass).
