my neighbor looks over the fence the other day "hey, is your network named XXXX". i tell him "yes". he says "cool, i've been tapping into your internets". he kinda just smiles and wanders away.
That's why you name your network "virus"

He's a dick because fdd can't use WPA2?

If my Internet wasn't 125mb cable, Id steal from people who left their wireless unencrypted, it's basically an invitation.
Encryptian slows everything down
I envy your 125 mb
I had 50 mb service for 2 days. It is better than the 30 mb service I have now

125mb? That would be Awesome

Perhaps you woke up this morning looking to disagree with someone?

The fact that he walked up to fdd, asked him if he was xxxx, then said thanks... i'm stealing your shit. Then smiles and walks away... :: That's a dick move.

For real, 125mb? Damn.

A quick wiki gives you a rundown of windmill turbine manufacturers. It looks like the company I spoke of is no longer making the most in the US. GE now holds that spot as #1 in the US, #5 in the world. Hundreds of years is great and all.. I wonder how the prices will be effected as we deplete just 10%, then 20%, then 30% etc, etc.... Energy, climate and such, that is something you and I will never agree on. I don't even want to open that can with you and NoDrama. Yep. 45 cents to send a piece of paper from Maine to Southern California is quite a bargain. Even at that price, I do nearly all of my invoicing through email. Very few people actually want a hard copy. I think we all know that there was a time when USPS was much needed at low cost. I grew up with a friend who had two postal worker parents. I did notice that they were retired much earlier than most others parents. Doing quite well too, financially.
Of course the price of fuel will go up as we deplete it. Just as the cost of wind generated and solar are now more than fossil fuels. And that's with them generating a small portion of our needs. In time, we will develop better "green" energy sources. But these systems are not competitive as yet. You might be surprised at my views on "Energy, climate, and such". An invoice by email and a handwritten letter from someone you know or a original document you need are two entirely different things. There is still a need for sending actual objects. I prefer an actual bill, because consenting to electronic billing also relieves them of their legal obligation to notify by certified mail l And, yes, postal workers have/had a generous retirement program. I believe one could retire at full benefits after 20 years, regardless off age. They also didn't pay SS taxes.

Harrekin,
You're NOT getting anything close to blu-ray quality with 14 Mb/s and 7 min dl. ATSC is 18.3 Mb/s and blu-ray is 48 Mb/s. You're also not getting full quality on blu-ray unless your hdtv and player support source direct( packet decoded as is).

You can use practically lossless reencoding to remove all the unnecessary shite without effecting picture quality anymore than a lower quality HDMI cable would do.

For example, nobody listens to raw audio files (Protools for example), because they're not any higher quality than other formats with a much much lower file size.

Dont be listening to the "disk purists", you genuinely don't need to buy it unless you want it physically in your collection (LOTR trilogy BR box set for example ;) )
