IMPO (take that P as Professional (just for you Dr Bob)) 5580 should not be yet dealt with here, at least not in a majorly time consuming matter. I say that on the bases, it has not even been introduced to the House Floor for a Committee, let alone been put up for discussion by the entire House, let alone a Vote, unless something has changed in the last 45ish days I am unaware of.
The biggest Knife to the throat of the MMM Act of 2008, currently is the 4 Walsh bills. These bills have Passed the House, Moved into the Senate where they are awaiting Vote, possibly during lame duck in the next 3 weeks. Each of these bills, if passed by the Senate (75% passage needed there as well) will go to the Governor to be Signed, at which time the WILL Effectively CHANGE the 2008 MMM Act.
This is the Clear and Present Danger, again IMPO.
HB 4835?, HB 4851, HB 4853, HB 4856 are the closet legislation that has the ability to make legislative changes to the Act, before Jan 1st, 2013.
You want a Xmas Gift? Get on the Phone, Doors and Emails to your Senators, and let them Know THEIR RE ELECTION will be determined on a No Vote on any of these Current Bills.
This is our immediate challenge, anything else is putting the cart before the horse at this current point in the game.
