How would you control guns?

How should we regulate guns?

The Ratchet operates in defiance of the bolded. I cannot point to one country that, once it banned guns, un-banned them. cn
I don't think we've gotten to the final accounting, yet.

There isn't another country with this in it's Constitution, is there? What will break the Ratchet?

No matter what, we know the lessons of history. But, when history is banned, so is the gun, I guess.

But, that doesn't keep us from hoarding and showing them what this hole is for, boys.

ARs only used to cost several hundred, then Obama came and now they sell for 4 times what we paid for them. I sold some guns yesterday and made $8,900 in profit.
and yet the only thing obama ever did was allow you to carry them on trains and in national parks.

you gun nuts are fucking retarded.

It's a step in the right direction. I believe it could and would save lives. Its instant, the second your skin touches the pad its ready. I also believe we have the technology where law enforcement would be able to deactivate "lock" that weapon wireless. The big problem though "imo" is that if we cant control our borders and imports fully...nothing will matter. Regardless what happens or is solved here in this country. Cant get a gun here? Run over the border. Or it will be "i know a guy".
WRONG!

Biometic gun locks do not work.

dipshjits have been squawking about guns that can only be used by their registered owner for decades, and it still doesnt work.

the closest anyone ever came to a "safe gun" was a ring for the shooter's hand and a short range radio tag reader like those used on credit cards and pets. it never worked on guns because the reader breaks when you shoot the gun.

reading the science fiction bullshit from HCI/brady, and believing it, doesnt make their fantasy FACT any more than buckie's autocratic declarations do.

criminals want gunss, and criminals dont obey laws. unles you can come up with a plan to eliminate every gun in america, and prevent any new guns from being imported or manufactured, the guy who still has a gun will always have the advantage, and criminals will always ignore laws, since it's what defines them.

your bizarre belief that a new law will magically protect people is insane. new york, washington dc, san francisco, chicago and boston have proven for over 100 years now that gun laws only restrict the people who arent criminals.

all gun restrictions are merely workplace safety regulations for criminals. when the potential victims of crime can be expected to bust a cap in the perpetrator, the perps go looking for easier marks, and THAT IS A FACT.

In the absence of evidence is one thing, but now there is solid statistics about how useful, day to day, guns are.
Rights will trump rules every time. We know the crime rates and the other facts that are ignored.

All that is coming out of this is a ban on a certain type of weapon. Who are we kidding besides ourselves?
No, what is coming is the inability for 2 private individuals to perform a transaction involving a gun. You will be required to get some 3rd party at a charge to authorize the transaction.

In addition, the government wants a federal gun registry so it can track every LEGAL citizen that has a firearm. That is invasion of privacy IMO.

despite numerous laws and court rulings prohibiting a national gun registration database the BATFE already is compiling one.

every single BATFE firearms transfer form and background check request is required by law to be destroyed within 24 hours of the completion of the request.

The BATFE keeps them. They admit they keep them. They claim the "FORMS" must be destroyed which they totally do, but the data is stored electronically and thats totally different....

they claim it's for "statistical purposes", but as everyone already knows, the BATFE is a criminal organization, and criminals dont obey laws.

No privacy in the Constitution, but we won't have a national gun registry, voter roll or ID card, etc. Not Constitutional.
IAC, you can I can exchange firearms....if your aren't wearing a wire. :)

I think about all of the rage that the guns that don't get used must feel. They want to kill people, yet only a very select few get rewarded with the opportunity to kill. Those guns must feel so lonely and pathetic since close to all of them statistically don't get the opportunity to kill. All the guns want to do is kill a child, yet so very few get to.

If all they are made for is killing, why do so few get to?

I voted to limit the type of weapon and by that I mean you can have as many "cap and ball" muskets as you want, just like the founders talked about. This bullshit with automatic weapons is not what the founders had in mind when they discussed the right to bare arms. Imo
I know right, take Alexander Graham Bell for example; he was so crazy he wanted to talk to people that wasn't even there. Bad technology, Bad!

Yeah, it was Obama that did that.... ROFLMFAO!!!

Lets not talk about the fact that the Supreme court ruled on Heller, which allowed it. Obama was in the vicinity at the time so he gets credit...

I agree. Next time read all my posts before ranting off about a technology that clearly has all types off issues when used on "firearms". It has it's place, and could be useful on many things. Like already posted..it's not the answer. But way to go!! Should I bring up more obvious problems with it? Or are you content...

yep, not illegal to own just to manufacture. And the seller must have a special license . < basically just a huge tax for the government

my buddy told me about this site

http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/

said they sell ammo buy the 5 gallon bucket. That many .22 would last forever.

cheaper than dirt was the first one to fold, pulled their online listings. they caved at the first sign of trouble. i will never buy anything from them again. there are better places for ammo anyways.

i encourage everyone to look elsewhere for their needs.

you asserted a false claim, notably, that the biometric gun safety devices work.

i dont have to read your back catalog or subscribe to your newsletter to refute your claims. your claims were nonsense.

you did not state (as you now attempt to imply) that the devices at question were garbage, you in fact made the opposite claim. you further stretched credulity with the on-star style remote disabling claim.

your comments implied a technology that does not exist, and then declared it to be "a step in the right direction" which it is NOT.

"a step in the right direction" would be adhering to our constitution, not creeping regulation designed for the express purpose of ultimately banning all guns and just hoping that everything works itself out.

if you want to live in a gun free zone, dont buy guns. it's that simple.

you have no right to control my actions, you have only the right to control your own.

200AD fully automatic Chinese bolt action. Bet the founders feel stupid now. Should've put musket rather than arms. I think those fuckers just hated children.
