Here is a grow of Northern Lights, from Peakseedsbc. This plant was selected from a pack a little while back. This grow is from clone.

The cuts were transplanted from 1 qt pots (veg) and into 5 gallon grow bags filled with House and Garden Coco. Watered in with Dyna-Gro 9-3-6, cal mag+, H&G root excel, and rootballs dusted with Great White.

Here is the tent. 1800 watts (3 600hps). Coco drain to waste. Nothing too fancy.

The plants are placed at 4 per 600hps. With 42 inch tomato cages, modified to be 6 inches shorter.

Timbo,
Thanks for checking it out. It should get interesting in a few weeks here. These flowers really come on slow. Until the last 10 days of flower, it looks weak.

Week 3

Here we are at Day 15 of flower. These NL plants are finicky... I can never seem to get them all the way through without an issue. The finished product is always really nice though.

We had some issues with micro nutrient deficiencies. Calcium and sulfur for sure, some others, due to excessive N. I think I have them on the right track now though.

I have never grown this plant without heavy LST early in flower.... so it should be interesting to see how they do. I have pulled some of the tops away from the bulb to even out the canopy a little. Anyway...

Here are some pics. Day 15/Wk3...

Mantis,
Thanks man.

I ran a single plant of this NL once last year. Then I ran 8 plants of it a few months ago. I like it so much I decided to do 4 more on the next run.
I have not tried any other... I might go through a pack of Atomic NL and see if I can find something that beats this NL mum.
This plant produces really good smoke, but it is a little finicky.

I need to try out some Bodhi... I see he has bred a ton of stuff I would like, but it is always sold out.

Hey Chiefems,
I just checked the page.. it says $40... I'm pretty sure I only paid $30.
They must have raised their prices since then. I picked them up a little over a year ago.

Ah, peakseedsbc! This guy is straight up old school and very, very under estimated. Peaks NL#5 and Skunkberry are super easy for you outdoor guys. You will not be disappointed.

Beginning of week 6

These NL clones are getting the poor treatment test... I've been super busy and had to leave town for 5 days. I could not get anyone lined up to water the plants so I just cut the llights for 5 days. I had some fungus gnats upon return to the garden. The plants turned a light/pale green color.. but after a week they darkened up.

This plant does not offer ideal branching. You need to tie branches back to fill the canopy well. I didn't put much effort into it this go round, so the spacing is not the most efficient. Buds look good though.
I like smoking this NL plant. It's pretty relaxing if you just take a few pulls.

Just a little note on nutrients used.
1 week ago I dropped the Dyna Gro 7-9-5 and switched to House and Garden Coco A&B and Calmag+

Early week 8...

It looks like this mother has reached the age that her clones have dropped some days from flowering time... I was VERY surprised to take a close look this morning and see that these plants are ready to be cut down early next week... Very Nice..
Another possibility is that the minimal training (compared to past grows) made for an earlier finish... that is probably more likely.

I'll try to get some really good shots just before harvest... Probably pull them out of the tent and get some good lighting on them..
Here are just a few quick shots taken today..

Thanks, Izoc... yeah, these NL's are growing right along with the SSH. It looks like they will finish a little sooner.

This plant is a solid mother, but it just might get bumped to make way for one of the G13's and/or Killing Fields I am selecting from right now.

I passed this one off to a friend, so, it's always cool to know it is still out there... getting someone blazed.. haha.
