The Main-Lining Thread

he means that when he tops for 2, he leaves the main leaders (top node), and clone leaders (node under that). later, after it recovers and shows growth, he removes clone leaders and.... plants them as clones. from there he works with only the 2 leaders of the main stem (splitting to 4, and eventually 8 ).

no one said this was a fast method. but I'd say its one of the few methods around that let you grow plants shorter than 2 feet from soil and pull more than 4 oz each off them. Yes, scrog can achieve this, but ever try watering 4x scrog plants per chamber? turns into a nightmare. mainlined plants are still mobile and thats part of the point. what do you mean by feeders? or Mold together? by keeping his plants smaller than one normally would, he maximizes the performance of his lights. I think the Original AOS pulled something like six zips. 48 zips to 1200 watts aint a bad score (more than a g per watt)

The clones are great too, about as close as you can get to growing from seed, except with a clone. Great vigor and fast rooting.

yep, got my 2 AOS females ready for their second go around, this time from clone. both are setup for 8 heads, and looking far superior to the first run.

  • hey all! great thread nug i'm just begginer in growing the babes but i sure love it... i replied to the AOs tutorial on mainlining but then i realized i was digging sry =P so let me post my question here :

i just didn't understand something in the main lining... after you top (at any time, it could be for 2,4 or 8 but my serious doubt is when topping for 2) do you supercrop and LST the 2 main shots that derive from the topped stem or you just LST with those wires to the trunk ??? coz in every plant i see in this magnificent thread i see lost of elbows from the 2 first main shoots ...

can i do the first top on my plants then supercrop the stems while bonding them with wires ??? isn't topping + super crop + lst a big stress for the babies ??

thanks and again, this is maybe the best training one can do indoors....cheers

Nugs, this is for u, 8 headed mainlined beauties at 8 weeks. Space Bomb, only 1 hope its a girl, and some Space Dawg. Also running some Cheese Quake grape danish pheno from last run, those are pruned for 16. All are about 13-14 inches from the soil, have a 1-3 days before I flip em, they are moving fast right now.

I'm getting better at mainlining, this is the closest I've had the canopy yet.
