long time lurker here, just signed up for an account finally. I must say S420 you've inspired me, I'm going to finally start growing. I've been researching for a long time but your journal has been extremely informative. I am now going to switch to organic and I will be subbed into any of yours or SomeBeech's journals. I would love to eventually have a grow room like your but for now just doing a all CFL stealth grow in a dresser. Thank you for all the info and for keeping up with this great thread.

Happy smoking everybody!!!!

Thx for signing up to thank me lad! Means a lot man! And anything I can do to help out along the way, I'll be around!
The first half of my grow was done totally with CFLs bro, and those CFLs kept everything nice and tight just the way I wanted it!
But it's def. good that you lurked for a while and are doing your research bro! I was the exact same!
Seeing what the CFL growers were doing here mad me join and go to work!
And SomeBeech is good ppls brother! Guys been helping me since I joined and hasn't let me down man!
Also check out Giggles26 and SchwagBag bro! They've been EXTRA helpful as well and have minds that are FULL of things you'd be better or knowing!

But hey, cheers to success brother! As long as your prepared and ready for the journey you're about to embark on, and stick around here at RIU, there's NO WAY for you to fail. This will be my first harvest bro! Knowing me now bro, your first harvest should be BETTER! :peace:

And while I'm at it and about to sign out for a while I thought I would mention some things.

1. I been giving the girls "touch-ups" around the edges with pretty much every watering as of late.
What I've been doing it just kinda clipping away at any dead tips like the barber would do you hair.
Call it a bit of an experiment but I figure it could cause a fight response in the plant, and maybe cause them to give up more resin??
Just an experiment, nothing for sure! But I don't clip much off at all, just anything dead at the tip and any leaves that have any necrotic spots get touch too.
Maybe my attemps are futile..Maybe not. Whatever
2. I been removing the fans leaves that are ready to go. I've read that you should only remove a fan leafe if they're better than 50% dead of useless, and I've come to the conclusion that when they're ready to go, pushing against them in the slightest will cause them to give away.
So anything looking suspect gets pushed up on haha!

But give my Molasses OD a couple weeks back, I lost a majority of the OG fan leaves and I'm sure my yield too a hit because of that.
But since then things have straighten up and the new growth that came has been lush.
Bringing me to the final conclusion that the plants are more selective or the nutes than we think. This in my opinion.
I say so because the OG fan leaves yellow and die with senescence, but the new growth that come in return in nice and green until they've served their purpose.
They leaves are yellowing and dying because the soil is N deficent, but rather because it's they're time. We're Just playing God.

Just playing God is right. Do you ever feel guilty for chopping a male down? lol

I'm glad to hear they're back to business S420

Touch ups are good, and it sounds like most of the people here like to spend time with their plants. One of the best quotes I've ever read since I started gardening - "The best thing for your plants is your shadow." The more attention we give them the more they will reward us. The only thing that makes me feel bad about stripping leaves is that I don't have a compost pile to put them in!

Right on about stripping all the leaves and thinking damn I can't let these mold and collect that!! I'm telling you bro.
I'm taking the next op to the 2.0 for real! Im gonna get myself a worm bin rocking for sure. Nothing extravagent tho. Something small and discreet to keep me with a fresh stock for the AACTs. Shit alteast I can throw some left over food scraps in it right?!

And bro they're back in business and about to be out of business all at once boss!
I get 4 reg. freebies with this Attitude promo so hopefully I'll get a nice male to neuter hahaha.

But bro. Organics is so damn easy that you don't have nothing BUT time to spend with your plants haha
And you know this....MANNNNNNNNN :joint:

Made it halfway thru Life of Pi w/ the shorty and called it quits until tomo night. So far so good with that flick too

That would be awesome. I've thought about starting a bin many times and never got the lil red wigglers lol. Do you have a worm farm near you? I have one regionally and i can get 10 lb bags for 3 bucks. Its a bit of a drive but I do it when I'm in the area, which is why I get so much at a time. The word is out though and the last time I talked to the operator on the phone she was out, bitching about weed gardeners buying them all up lol. A dude came up from 3 hours away and bought her out of 1000 lbs lol.

When does the attitude promo start?

haha DAMN 1/2ton of EWCs. Dudes MAKING MOVES ain't he lol! My local grow shop has EVERYTHING. I had to bold and underline it because they have EVERYTHING lol. So they've got worms for me when I need em. Lots of farms around too so I see all kinda of shit being advertised on craigslist!
I just want these local growers to keep flocking out haha and selling their equipment to me for nothing haha.
I'm waiting on the next one to flock out as we speak haha. And the promo starts March 1, so this weekend. I know they're gonna sell out of shit fast tho so if you're gonan order it's gotta be a day 1 thing. During the Christmas promo they gave out award winning freebies so everything that was in demand was out. I still got some good strains with the freebies but not all the things I would have liked.
I'm getting addicted bro! This about to be my fourth order in as many months haha.

AND DAMN MAN! I got a steady flow of #NICE threads to follow haha. Gonna have to unsub from some and manage my time between the few I really like now haha. Can't be everywhere at once and be 100%. I find myself falling off from some already.

Not to mention the fact that I been trying to sign out for 20 minutes hahaa!

I'll holla brother! I'm gone lol! For rel this time :joint:

lol, yeah I'd say he's making moves haha. I go in phases on this forum, being more active then followed by a brief hiatus. My thread will not be bumping with activity like this one, I won't do but probably weekly or bi-weekly updates after this week so there will be crickets up in there lol.

I'm off to make some money g'dday peeps.

It starts march 2nd. I've already got my cart stocked. :D

I'm starting another worm bin this summer, I love it. I'll start a tutorial for you guys if you'd like when I do mine. I never run out of my those lil wigglers haha.

Hell yes I would love a tutorial as well as an estimation of time spent on maintenance etc. Thanks Gigz!
Once it's up and running there isn't much of maintenance. :D

I'll get one wrote up, another good thing is if you have rabbits or chickens to put a tub under them to catch all their goodness and use it for compost :D

Sincerely420

Hell yeah bro! That tutorial would be MUCH appreciated!
And if only I had the space to compost shit man...I def. would.
Given all that I've learned about a good organic soil, the compost is your ACE in the hole so to speak.
Instead I'm stuck with buying bagged soil, compost, and EWCs.

After I harvest the girls tho, I plan on re-amending the soil that they're in, and using it for the next run, so it'll be cool to see the results from it too!
I'll document that too of course, as we're all about saving money and getting shit done around here haha.
And Having a fresh worm farm will help things out A LOT MAN! So thanks in advance for that :joint:

This lady has not lost a single leaf to date! Not 1!!! And look at her! Look at that hue of green! This is Mrs.Jacky right here! My Delicious Seeds Critical Jack Herer!
She was allowed to grow to about 6/7 nodes and than topped just after her 2nd or 3rd true node, giving me a set of very equally dominant colas! I think I'm gonna build off of this method tho and if I can train the colas even to the outsides of the pots, I can drop a light right in the middle of the plant between all the colas! Imagine that right?!
Either way, here some Delicious Seeds Critical Jack Herer love. My best growing plant by far! Hell all my second gen crop are sexy, but this ladies stands on her own. She's a 10 from top to root! And she smells like fresh pine tar! So damn good and unique! Def. doesn't smell like anything ganja

I'm gone be smoking on 5 different strains for the next few months! I'm talking days and days in a daze hahaha :joint:
