I lived with someone for about two years who had a perscription for marinol for nausea, appetite & wasting. Her opinion was that it was unpredictable. You could take 1 pill get high as fuck and eat a cupboard...or get sick and puke...or feel nothing at all...she said it's like a trip to vegas every time and your best bet is to just throw a good chunk of change on the table and hope for the best (4-8 pill was usually what was required to get a decent effect if it didnt make her yak).

Al in all she said it was at best a way to piss clean on an employment test.

Oh but the BEST way to do it is to pack a bowl and pour 1-4 pills on the weed. Let it dry from 30mins-3hrs (depending on how many pills you added). It'll still be "wet" (oily reall so it never will REALLY dry..its more to let it soak into the weed) and burn a bit slower....almost like smoking resin.

Hmmmmm,

I have taken no less than 3 Marinol (10mg) per day since March of 02. For me personally, they are the eptiome of consistant. So predictable, I don't hesitate t take them even prior to meetings.

The buzz? I actually prefer the Marinol buzz to weed's . Again because of the consistancy. No rush...no consequent anxiety or paranoia (for me). Just a steady glow and a feeling of well being.

Take 2 and your level 6 pain is...uh, overlooked.

Take 3 and you'll sit there with a smile on your face and jelly sandwich on your chest.

Other good points:

I was able to stop drinking alcohol with Marinol.

I can travel freely (to scary places) without fear of incarceration with the Marinol.


Had my back fused in 02. I took ZERO pills...other than the Marinol.

Neck fusion 07...see above.

I'm new and don't mean to be contradictive...But I'd just hate to see this wonderful substance overlooked by someone that could benefit from it's existance.

Ive found that Marinol works well but the price tag is off the charts....around $275.00 for 10 pills...and 1 pill is equal to about 1 bong hit ..for me anyway..another reason I think to legalize Medical pot.

I have been battling this same question. A chronic wakenbaker I have been for over a decade for mostly reasons like multiple fractures..I don't do painkillers, they make me sick. So finally I asked a doc to let me try cesamet, a syn thc here in canada. Not easy. No prob to him to push opioids though go figure! Anyways I enrolled in a 10 hour a day lifesaving course for 5 days. Can't smoke uh oh so I tried the 5mg pill every mornin. I have to admit I drove home at lunch to burn one as well. The result was a 97 on written passed physical part but FAIled the course because I didn't respond fast enuf. I felt really confused and maybe even anxious. But out of that environment like today...good sunny one...I cracked the 12hr time release capsule and drank er back to see if I could notice anything. Well I went synthetic surfing and did good and the rest of the day was able to sit still and chill which is odd for me. Freaked at kids twice hard...but maybe that's lack of sleep from partyin neighbors the nite b4. Anyways I also have alcoholic tendancies and quit for a year but fell off the cart few weeks ago and today I said I was goin to get beer but never felt like I had to like evry other day lately and then didn't so maybe that's why, thc? Hmmmm. Still want my weed though and can't get any such bs whens the store opening so I don't have to put myself at risk findin some. There u go...c babbling like I'm baked
