:leaf: :leaf::leaf: :?: HELLO CATS AND KITTENS I HAVE A BUDY WHO WANTS TO GROW IN A 2X2X8 CLOSET LIKE YOU WOULD FIND IN A BEDROOM....THE CACHE IS THAT HE NEEDS IT TO BE 2 ROOMS ONE FOR VEG AND THE OTHER FOR FLOWER. HE ALREADY HAS ONE FLOWERING NOW BUT JUST RECENTLY FOUND OUT HE ISNT GOIN TO MOVE (WAS PLANING ON IT)... SO HE NEEDS TO CONVERT ONE ROOM INTO 2 ROOMS. HE THINKS HE HAS IT FIGURED OUT ITS JUST SEPERATING THE ONE ROOM? WHAT SHOULD HE USE TO MAKE IT LIGHT TIGHT SO THE FLOWER ROOM DOESNT GET DISTURBED BY THE VEG RUNING 24/7.
HE HAS A SHIITER FAN IN THE CELLING RUNING 100CFM AND HE TAP INTO HIS AIR DUCTS SO A/C IS BLOWING IN COLD AIR ALSO A OS FAN RUNING 24/7. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST SUGGESTION FOR THIS SIZE OF ROOM:?::?::?::?::?::?::?::shock::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:

popular reflector is mylar and if you're smart laying it out you can achieve a light proof closet

Not yelling just in a hurry like i sad he has one plant already 3 weeks into flower so needs to start modifying asap.

How should he make it light tight thats the problem and do you think a mh would be too much for the veg room he has 2 ballast one 400w hps and one 400w mh or should he just add the mh in with the hps to have a dual spectrum for the flower room. and use flors for veg/clone room

haha re you yelling at us!? ha classic but idk man that seems a bit small.. but if your going to do it maybe you should invest in a gro hood... seems to have stellar results in small spaces!

Again i know he is in a small space but he flowers only like 2 plants at a time, and clone/ veg 4 to 5. SO i guess no one can help me out alll i need to know is how to sill one room into 2. we need some construction experience i guess....

mylar wont work because the seperation of the rooms has to support a 5 gallon bucket like a shelf.

PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ME IN SILLING ONE ROOM INTO 2 SIZE SHOULDNT MATTER I JUST NEED TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD USE TO SILL THE ROOM SO THE LIGHT FROM THE VEG DOESNT LEAK THROUGH TO THE FLOWER ROOM.

I guess ill have to wait till someone with some experience helps me!!!!!

If the veg room is 2 1/2 feet that should give anough room to start seedlings about 1 month into the ones flowering.


P.S. He already has reflectors........ whats so good about a gro hood(for heat?) because heat isnt a problem...

well then go to your local home depot.lowes etc,, and buy some black tarp... some black duct tape.. and just seperate it right down the middle

400 watt is way too much for a closet that size... unless you stick a few 500 cfm fans in there with an air cooled chamber for the bulb... it would sound like a gdamn hurricane but hey! maybe when it starts on fire that massive wind will blow it out

He cant seperate it down the middle becasue the fan is installed in the celling..






400watts too much???????????? hell he had 1000watt for a while and that was fine.. temp wise anyway........shouldnt that be the only concern..

Cant split because the cellings has exhaust and ac duct running in, he is plaining on using the a/c for the hps and fresh air and the exhuast as well in the flowering room only.

400 is fine, i think perfect. I run a 600 hps in 2 x 3 x 6.5 and i dont even have to run my exhaust fan. I just pull alot of cfm through my cooltube. I wouldnt try it without a cooled light however. Especiall that bottom chamber with the MH that is far from the exhaust fan in you ceining. You will be hard pressed to to fit a cooled hood or cooltube in 24" wide space unless you get creative. I have 3 feet wide and my 6 "dia cool tube and ducting barely squeeze in there.

yeah he figured he couldnt run mh in the bottom chamber, need like you said some kind of cooling


of the point though...........
he just swithced over to 12/12 had a 1000watt mh for about 1 week then but in 400watt hps and its now the end of week 2 of 12/12 and the folige is getting limp especialy around the edges of the plants.....so he added a 4oowatt mh with the 400watt hps to soon to tell if any results though...... anyways he noticed that the mh is way brighter and hotter than the hps............ Is this right i read that hps gets hotter than mh????


Anways:
Had 2 mh ballast so baught a 400watt hps transformer and ignator and wired it up..

Question: would the capasitor and the socket from the previous mh ballast effect the performance of the HPS bulb????


sorry for all the damn questions he is just a newbie tryin to do it the best way possible figures( go big or go home) really just doesnt want to waste his time.

Panda Film, Mylar, Black thick plastic, silicone sealant. These things can block the light.

He should build a shelf in the closet out of wood or buy a pre-made closet organizer with the appropriate weight requirements.

It sounds like u are in a rush and that never works out like u think it will. All these things should be planned for before seed touches water... Slow down! Deep breaths!

Alright. Now that u are calm, Go to get some 5.5 or 6mil Panda film and a roll of duct tape... Seperate the room. That simple!
Wait, are u kidding??? the room is 2x2x8? WTF and you are talking about running all kinds of 400&1000 watts in there, sounds like a sauna to me... I'm assuming u have proper venting then... Good luck

well my body doesnt have internet and he is super parniod about the internet and what not..

what do you guys think about privacy about making post and showing pics.

Another question: His system is a man made waterfarm with a 2gal bucket inside a 5gal.........Orignially he had 5 plants in this system (i know its too small but he allowed for some males).... ok so there were 2 males leaving 3 females one is only a stock the other 2 are much bigger....

Question: since he had to cut the stocks of the males would the dead roots effect the growth of the females still growing or did he induce 1-2-3 of his gh flora nutes too soon? He went to 1-2-3 the 2 week of flower...:weed:

IM LOST can somone help me. HID's where do i buy them. One with just the ballast a cord and a 175w light. I know what i want, i just can't find it. my grow closets 2x2x8 as well. Please help,
