Do you think crimes committed with guns has increased? Answer honestly, this is for science.

"Interestingly, 54 percent of Democrats think gun crime has increased in the US over the past 20 years, compared to 29 percent of Republicans and 25 percent of Independents."

""Firearm-related homicides dropped from 18,253 homicides in 1993 to 11,101 in 2011," according to a report by the federal Bureau of Justice Statistics, "and nonfatal firearm crimes dropped from 1.5 million victimizations in 1993 to 467,300 in 2011."

I'd also like to add that the 14th Amend. was key in allowing these freed slaves become armed for defense.
Also, the NRA helped civil rights workers in the 50's and 60's, arm themselves when the state AND the federal government ignored their pleas.
So much for revisionist history.

Basically because the governments agenda is to de-arm the populace...luckily it is proving harder than they thought so here comes the misinformation routine....and the sheeple just "baa baa" right along...See Uncle Buck...classic sheeple that acts like it knows..and get ready for his glorious SCOTUS defense

I am inspired by the guy posting all the, "Question for teabaggers..." threads. It's fun.

Seriously though, 54% of Democrats think gun crime has increased? That statistic surprises me. The science is settled.

There's a professor at Florida State that has data showing firearms being used by a citizen to stop a crime, four times more often than guns being used to commit a crime.

Shhhhhh. Guns are bad. Their only purpose is to kill as many innocent people as quickly as possible.

I find that ironic considering republicans have made a war on science part of their platform. But I would agree a lot of democrats are stupid. But then again, a republican is basically a moron by definition. So it's not like you have the high ground.

Is that the same professor who started the story that Newtown never happened?

Prof Gary Kleck of FSU. IDK if that is who you are talking about. Is it?
I just remember hearing something about some dick professor in FL that started a rumor that the killings in Newtown, CT were fabricated by Obama to get support for tougher gun laws. Ever read that one?
