Here's the best test. About 3-4 weeks into flower on most hybrids you'll come across resin leaf. That is trichs on leaves. If you do the rub and smell test at that point it should tell you everything without even having to sample it. The terps tell the tale at that point. It gives you all the information.

Actually Bill I would dissagree, the only way to tell how something is going to actually taste at the finish, or how potent it will really be. Is to smoke the finished and cured product. Cure time will vary on different strains.

Resin leaf will give you an indication of what's going to happen. But end results and only end results should be followed when breeding cannabis.

This is pretty much written in stone.

And also becomes even more important, when you dealing with a number of differing females, or even worse the same type. This is where it becomes essential, to be very precise...

^Ya I do that as well. Well at least the first 15 years, but I've never been wrong yet. One thing I've noticed about modern hybrids we are working with today is that many of them have similar potency. It's the terps that really send a variety over the top.

I will site even a most recent grow of mine. Which had Pineapple Express in it. The express smelled very nice at 4 weeks. And when it finished as well. It looked really good too...

But it was one of the most horrible tasting smokes, I've ever encountered. I would have bet a large sum, just from smelling the plant. That it would have been fairly tasty.

I've used lady bugs indoor hovering.. they seemed to only want to stick around if they had a constant food source, ie. the borg..
I'd spray them with a coke and water mixture to keep them from flying away sooner than i wanted them to.. Knock on wood,I haven't seen a ladybug snack in a couple years. Now when I do find a few outside,I throw them in the room for shits and grins.

Anybody use Ladybugs indoors? Tips?
I use them all the time and they work great, as Stu Stoned says they usually want to leave after running out of food, but I find using some cricket food from pets mart and some cotton balls soaked in some fresh water usually keeps them around and they keep breeding so you will always have a constant supply of ladybugs. I do have tendencys though of forgetting to feed them and have to go back and get more lady's, I like having them around even if there isn't a issue with other bugs just cuz I feel the weed and the ladybugs like hang out together.

I use them every now and again as a cheap preventative measure. release them during lights off, as they wont try to fly as much in the dark. they need water, spray enough to get the water beaded up or fill a bottle cap or something near the place you release them.

I wish someone would explain to these stupid mother fuckers how much weed a million dollars is.
At current market TOP Value he'd need 350 pounds of processed cannabis this is not physically possible IMO.
The good news is we get to use these inflated numbers they have set as precedent to sue the bastards when they break the law in CIVIL court!!

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies responding to a burglary call in a Rancho Palos Verdes neighborhood stumbled upon a $1-million marijuana-growing operation, authorities said.
About 2:30 p.m. Thursday, deputies were dispatched to the neighborhood, where they surrounded a home, believing a burglary suspect could be inside, authorities said. A man, Tom Kim, 37, emerged from the house and was detained.
After clearing the house, the deputies found an “elaborate marijuana grow operation,” according to authorities.
Hundreds of plants were found in the backyard and throughout the house as well as $10,000 in cash, the Sheriff's Department said. One room contained a number of marijuana-filled jars, packaging material and a scale, the department said.
The marijuana was estimated to be worth about $1 million, the department said.
Kim was arrested, officials said, and his common-law wife, Molly Hwang later turned herself in to authorities. They were later released on $100,000 bond.
Their child, who was at school during the raid, was taken into protective custody, officials said.

This is what a Million dollars in weed looks like

Last time I checked you were the weed nerd not the smoking nerd. Many can learn from your challenges, so thanks for being straight-up. I have been eating weed for a long time, I would love to see better dosage control and innovative ways to consume.

Thats a good way for the cops to do a search on your house without a warrant all they'd have to say is they received a call about a burglary with a good lawyer they could probably get it thrown out, soon as the cops saw the weed they should have stopped and got a warrant for the weed
