As much as I like Breaking Bad, I have to agree with cheetos. This topic ain't politics, but I am interested in it.

and if it's soooo disturbing to your precious political palate..have mod change it.

It does not bother me at all. I have the option to not read the thread, just as every other reader does. I don't care whether a mod moves it or leaves it alone. I simply pointed out that it ain't politics. Mostly, I think moderators should do nothing 99.999% of the time.
For the record, I love Breaking Bad. I think it is the best TV drama I have seen in many years.

also its meh. i so sick of the kid story line. The
(in braces voice) storyline. and that whiney wigger bugged me from the start. yet somehow i made it through all the seasons. I skipped a few seasons and then got caught up couple weeks ago. Ill probably put this last part of the seaon into my weekly rotation. hopefully its epic and he has to kill the BiL. that would be awesome.

Unfortunately, I do not. I don't have cable or satellite, I just watch it on netflix and they just got eight episodes of season five on there. I will probably have to wait at least a year to see the final eight episodes.

I'd like to put forth the argument that this thread DOES belong in Politics. Consider the beginning of last season. The vignette of Walt, looking disheveled with scraggly beard, purchasing an M60 (IIRC) in the trunk of some getaway vehicle. This is a sign of a man under serious pursuit. And who do you think is going to be pursuing him? His brother-in-LAW perhaps? Cartels? To what extent is the show going to reflect "reality"? Are these the methods used in our society? Are these the outcomes? One can watch the show and consider it nothing more than a tale of a dying man cooking meth... Or one can see it as a reflection of wider societal issues; exorbitant costs of healthcare, drug policy, and law enforcement. In a sense, it encapsulates a great variety of current problems we face as citizens of Western Culture, and the extreme solutions we choose as remedies...
