So what do all you neoconic libertarians, Anti Global warming, Man has no involvement Dudes have to say about this flood. One of biblical porportions. They're calling it a 1,000 year flood, 20 ft over the 1851 Record. Just a coincidence I suppose. But who do you ask, the people that lived there 1,000 years ago didn't leave any records. I guess that all all these destructive tornados are just, oh well, it's not happening to me. But if it is, please leave a comment, thank you.

I guess if you live there, it may seem important. I don't but it looks like it is ruining many lives as there is no flood insurance available in that area. The Insurance companies won't insure high risk, just sure things. BTW, My fence blew down in a wind storm, (been the windiest spring I can remember) And My insurance company is sending me a check, sight unseen. It's nice to have quality insurance, I'm in the process of building a new fence. One that will last another 30 years. I get to keep the labor portion of the payout, sweet. But, If I didn't have my 19 year old "Son-in-law" digging the holes in the caliche with a pick, I'd have to go to home depot and get me a day laborer. Life is a journey, when you get to the end, I believe there is a new beginning. This gives me great comfort!

No comment, eh. I guess this means that you all agree with me, so be it, I've just won the global warming arguement.

Indiana is experiencing a 500-year flood. Please cite a source of this 1000-year Iowa flood theory.

That’s the battle cry of the High Priest of Global Warming Al Gore and his fellow, agenda driven disciples as they predict a calamitous outcome from anthropogenic global warming.
There is no significant man made global warming. There has not been any in the past, there is none now and there is no reason to fear any in the future. The climate of Earth is changing. It has always changed. But mankind’s activities have not overwhelmed or significantly modified the natural forces.

you have to look at why Iowa flooded.
nope, no gay pride or evil doers this time...take them off of gods hit list.
a levee ruptured, that flooded the des moines river.
While it's nice to think of gods smite, it's more on the lines of human error and a weather pattern that has trapped atmospheric pressure in the mid west.

weather pattern that has trapped atmospheric pressure in the mid west.

A weather pattern that hasn't been seen since 1851, and 20 ft over that record, duh, climate change!

Maybe so, but that does not prove it was man made.

BTW Professor, I am a Neo-Libertarian. You'll have to make a case to prove me a Neo-con.

Well, I'm not giving shit away. One of the reasons I live in Vegas is the weather. We have 260 earthquake proof, sunny days where the weather is just fine, about a hundred in the summer where the heat is a little bad, but since I'm retired, AC is the bomb. Oh, and I also have a giant swimming pool in my back yard, to cool off on those hot summer nights. Nighttime in the pool, most of you can only dream about that. A little windy at times, but so far it's tolerable. I've had to rebuild my long sail fence, but it will be way sturdier than the original and will last way longer than me.

Swimming pool in the high desert? Who's the elitist? ~LOL~

Self-determination is reserved for the Professor and those of his ideological ilk. The rest of us are screwed.

Well Joe, the Bank still owns the lion share of my pool, so I'm safe. The heaven proposition is probably a little far fetched, even for me. I believe we move on to another spiritual plane, I certainly cant describe it like all the looney churches do, but yes, I believe there is something after this body dies.

I don't believe in a soul or the after life....
If you have kids, your DNA will live on
I believe when the body breaks down, you will be the fertilizer for new life.
Sure we all want to believe we will one day rejoin old love ones in some form, but that makes a good movie not really reality.
