Tell your family that 50% of your friends who are getting married will be divorced in 10 years. That probably entails less household income for both parties and if their are now children involved then child support is being paid. Do yourself a favor: Find someone who wants to spend their life with you, doesn't want kids and has no desire to get married now or in the future. Then you two can have the most enjoyable existence you could imagine. Just my opinion if you have no desire for children.

Im single. But I still fuck. A fair amount. Im on a dry spell at the moment. Been a few weeks. But thats ok, Im busy makin that money.

I ain't worried, Im waay too good looking to stay single for long.

Sorry I bought a stupidly big bong today and my family is recently again giving me shit for being single so I'm venting. A lot of my friends are starting to marry, a lot of my family already has, and now my cousin just got engaged. And my family couldn't be happier. I think your family is trying to look out for you but you still have lots of time to knock out some offspring.
Keep working, be yourself, meeting girls and when the right one comes along you will know it.

Having a successful family depends on mom and dad, your kids will know what they've been taught and will have a successful family too.
Don't wait too long though, getting older naturally carries more responsibility and soon you'll find you don"t have the time or resources for a family anymore.

I'm single and pretty much happy because I don't have to work around anyones schedule, just my own.
I have more than enough going on to keep me busy but some family would be nice.
Who am I gonna give all my shit to when I die or pass on the great wisdom and knowledge I've acquired?

I'm 42 and live alone out of choice. Went through a bad marriage and am in no hurry to live that hell again. Been living alone for almost 4 years and it's awesome. I have my own bachelor pad, all the toys I want, and money in the bank. Life is great but I do require female companionship so I have a long time girlfriend. She has her own house and I have mine and that won't change. I'm never going down that road again where I'm legally bound to another human being.
 
If in fact you are happy, you have it made.

If you meet someone and you are not happy you then know it is that person that is making you unhappy.

If you are not happy, another person in your life may not fix it.

Like these miserable fucks that win the lottery and say they are still unhappy miserable fucks. Screw them.
 
Relationships are overrated, b/c true happiness comes from within.

Unfortunately, some folks have to marry to function properly in life...like my parents.:lol:

Love them both to death, but neither can seem to function w/o the other.
 
I say kudos to you singles that are happy. Finding true happiness within yourself will lend to a better happier relationship in the future when/if you choose to settle down, given that you find the right person. Sometimes, but not often, I miss being single, thats usually only when a woman of a certain body type walks by and my libido spikes!
 
Yep, society kind of pressures you into getting married. There's a younger couple next door to me that are talking about getting married. I can see that train wreck coming years out. They don't realize they are together for the financial advantages mainly. They have confused needing each other financially to survive with love. Getting married will make them feel better because that is what they think society wants from them. Not me! Society can kiss my ass. Being single means I only have one responsibility in my life and that's maintaining my professional life which means freedom to do any damn thing I want to do. I can go on a weekend bender and sleep all day or jump on a plane and go to the Running of the Bulls without clearing anything with anybody but myself. That right there my friends, is living.
