Hey i'm new to the forum. I'm a caregiver in Michigan and its next to impossible to find patients or even connect with other caregivers. Sheesh this law is ridiculous. I tried to post an ad on craigslist to meet patients to sign LEGALLY and my post is blocked smh. I wasnt even trying to sell I was simply just trying to do it right. This law is nuts lol

You'll find your circle, all things in due time. If you rush you'll end up getting a bunch of patients who aren't good for you and people who may not be good either.
If they still exist Michigan used to have meetings in areas where you could meet and talk to everyone, see who needs caregivers ect. Check with your local hydro shop they may know where or if these meetings are still going. I can't for the life of me remember the name of those meetings either.

Offer to pay for the license but before you do make sure to tell them that they will not be getting a free oz a month. I have even gotten patients by offering $50 out the door. They pay the other $150ish and everyone is happy.
I wouldnt mind paying a bit towards it but its not easy to trust people out here. I mean then they could just simply change caregivers to themselves or someone else shortly after theyre approved and youre out of $200. The ideal situation is when a patient already has his/her card then its just a matter of transferring plant rights.

I've taken on 2 through cl and worked out very well. actually looking for a 3rd on cl now too. I do a face to face at a restaurant or similar before signing anything. got an email from a random guy the other day from a cl post that kinda spooked me a bit but after thinking about it he may actually have been a decent guy. hey humble1 wasn't you was it?
