violator kush reeks but herms like a mother fucker....... I would never call violator kush low odor... least not the pheno I got
Comepaired to lots of strains I've grow Violator kush is lower odor, earthy with a touch of citrus.. when I started growing the VK I started with 10 seeds I have cloned for about 2 years now and had to weed out a few odd ball plants but no herms, at least for me..

its funny , how people become accustomed to the smell in there own house , my mate was growing 2 huge 'cheese' in a grow tent under a 600 , with no carbon , when we was chatting he said he was worried it had no smell ,and we all know cheese stinks , so anyway he invited me round for a smoke and to see how his plants were doing , im not kidding we pulled up on his driveway and as soon as i opend the car door i could smell cheese , i said , fuck me they stink mate , he said yeah right thinking i was joking , i had to tell him i can smell them outside your fukin house dude , and arrrr man when he opend his front door it stunk like bob marleys back garden , i said i cant believe you cant smell them they fuckin reek , anyway soon after my visit he got some filters and hes not grown cheese since .

I was growing some blue cheese once and it was a little funky even with big filters.

NL5 has always been the go to strain for low odor, cash cropping, and easy growth for beginners. that's why it's in something like 70% of the strains out there according to a stat i read last year. why people would rather grow skunky than stealth always eluded me, but i just don't get indicas other than satisfying greed in general.

original C99 is low odor and floral BUT the potent pineapple pheno that many have selected for ISN'T. it isn't clear headed like cindy and can get stony too unlike "textbook C99". such is the nature of phenos. with mosca's cindy, you could get a full range of phenos from potent pinbeapple and skunky to classic floral. it's just like no two kids from the same parents being exactly alike, and when you start back crossing strains, you'll tend to get wider pheno expression than 50:50 original crosses unless the strain is stabilized.
Hazey C99 as NEVER been low odour. Maybe if she was left in a stale room with no air passing Yes, but as soon as air hits it its gonna stink.
C99 is not no old 1970's strain, some of us still have early stock.

Its you you over feed, PH and other problems so no resin comes from it hence no smells.

You chat as if youve grown every var in the En seedguide, when probably only ever grown spoons.

Infact go find that thread with the great fork grow, or was that you?

I almost forgot about the BCSC NL#5 i grew back in '98 back when Emery was around. They had no smell and nobody had carbon filters back then. Recently over past 5 years only strain i can think of that had a smell but wouldnt need a carbon filter is Vortex because it smelled so much like rotting mango christmas spice that nobody would ever think it was weed.

That's the phenomenon I think occurs for growers, we acclimate to the odor. Hence why I run a carbon filter as without it, even my veg plants have a discernable odor when in large numbers

I noticed this myself recently and I have a PHAT Filter(s). I only have 2 C99 Pineapple x 1 - Fruity juice pheno x 1 (Both stink) granted I have others (1 xCheese, 1 x Eva Venemo, 1xPyramid NL, 2 x Myown Purple Mazar)

I just plan to use a fan to circulate air, and an air purifier to replace stale air....that's unfortunately the best I can do. I really wish I could use a carbon filter and exhaust the air but it's just not an option at this time. I'm not sure I'm familiar with a charcoal filter? Is it used in the same method as a carbon?

I am drying out the formally not-stinky Mataro Blue. My house stinks like hay at the moment.

Get the model I suggested http://www.holmesproducts.com/air-purifiers/HAP242-UC.html, and if you can get some charcoal from the pet store, add it to the filter and tape it back up. There is space in the back of the filter to pour some granulated carbon into it and seal it up with tape on the edges of the mesh backing, which you have to cut in order to fill the gaps inside. Try it without the carbon first, might be good enough as is. Ona gel too.

The smaller space you have the plants in, the easier it will be for the purifier and gel to work on the odor. The purifier has a ionizer setting on it but that is the same as a ozone generator and not healthy to breathe. I use it without that being on.

The Jedi Death Star that I am flowering now has almost no odor. Dunno how it smokes yet tho. Looks to be a great yield in a short package.

Setup a carbon filter on a can fan to run in the room as scrubber. If you have a big enough scrubber you won't have odor problems.

I have a 12" can fan pulling air thru a 12x39 phat filter. It removes the odor from a large flower op that used t o smell so bad you could smell at the curb 60 feet from house.

My thoughts exactly. It doesn't need to be exhausted and will definitely rid the grow of any smell. Exhausted is best of possible, but that is the second best option

was trying to say yesterday, colder room temps seem to increase odor levels too
More fuckin misinformation.
Colder temperatures in general reduce odors due to how air can handle volatile organic molecules (smells). Higher temperatures increase the ability for odors to transfer. My area smells much stronger when lights are running.

agreed higher temps and movement of the flowers cause odor.....
