How Was Your Christmas, What Was The Best Gift You Got And Gave

We had a very nice Christmas this year.
Lots of friends and family came by last night for Christmas Eve and the grand kids will be coming later today.

I got my wife a pair of Uggs that she tried to get a couple of months ago but were on back order, by luck I found a little store that happened to carry that style in her size.

My favorite gift was a neon Corona sign (the one with the parrot) for my backyard bar.
Tonight will be party night, lots of food and drinks, this year I won't forget to drink a bunch of water and take some Advil before bed.:wall:

My son and daughter are coming by today for prime rib dinner and I didn't buy any gifts, I decided to just give some money to help them out. I don't have any grand kids yet or I would of gone shopping..

My wife and I are going to go on a trip to maybe Memphis Tenn and check out the music and then maybe fly over to Austin Texas and do the same on the way home. So that will be our Christmas present to each other this year..

Merry Christmas..

The best present I ever got was the baby Jesus, come to wash away my sins. And yours. He died for you, live for him.

I got a Veritas medium shoulder plane!

My three sons, wife and I are in Reno for two weeks. We are eating like gluttons, drinking like lushes and playing billiards. It doesn't get much better. Only down side is my daughter is still in Cali, but they have young kids and can't travel.

I scored an LED TV and gave books, food, gift vouchers, nerf guns and bones dipped in liver for the dogs plus an assortment of squeaky toys for them to destroy...

Lots of food and drink on a rainy Christmas in Australia. Sounds like everyone else had fun. Merry Christmas

Right on...

I did take my dog to a PET SMART store and let him walk down all the isles , and then we checked out all the squeaky toys and picked up 4 or 5 of them..They don't last to long so we stocked up. We have a little dog kinda like yours, it's a jack russell and he is very happy right now..

The best dog I ever had was a mix between a sheltie and something else, at least that's what the vet said. He looked like a small coyote. He died about four years ago, and I still think about him a lot. I know it's weird to be sentimental about a dog but I miss him.

My new neon Corona sign, too bad it's going to be freezing out side tonight or we'd be partying at the bar.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Every dog that I ever bonded with became family. Mutts are some of the best by far. Even the highest pedigrees belong to breeds which are essentially crosses. The difference is that pedigrees are given to dogs which were intentionally crossed. It's only so that certain qualities can be bred for various reasons. If you love your dog and weren't really looking for a specific dog with specific traits then your dog was the right breed.

I love American Pit Bull Terriers but most of the dogs sold as pit bulls are just inbred mutts. Most people think pit bulls are aggressive bulky big dogs because of backyard breeders fucking up the breed but a real apbt with a good pedigree is actually the quintessential American dog. The UKC was originally formed for them.

The pit mix is a great dog to adopt, I have twice adopted one and they are misunderstood.

the best gift was just spending time with the whole family. our two families are way better together than either one is apart. and the gas to get here was only $75, versus the $400 i spent on presents for everyone, the parents, brother, wife, all the in laws, cats, dogs, friends, neighbors...

the best gift i gave was an octopus child's pillow meant as a new play toy for my parent's dog. she loves that thing, she brought it right over to her bed and defended it from our pup, who also wanted it.

i got my wife an incubator (even though we have damn good broody hens) because she wants ducks to follow her around and be friendly with her. she's getting me a rescue dog, some kind of boston terrier or french bulldog. we need a good alert dog to accompany our guard dog.

we ate all day and drank and had a fire and looked at the skies through a fairly high powered telescope. saw venus cresting, the moons of jupiter, the M31 nebula, and i'll probably take my best shot at finding saturn before the night is over as well as looking at the moon.
