Agreed on the potential problems of high humidity and bud rot in greenhouses. I had an unseasonable week of rain when the plants were in full bloom and spots of rot appeared here and there in the dense buds. Air fans help from it being worse.
Yikes. Hit some low temps of 30 degrees in the greenhouse despite a small heater running. I see mostly leaf damage in fading leaves turning brown but more damaging are the "burnt" branches that kills the vascular tissue and all of the buds above the "burn" die off.
Time for a monthly update. So far so good. I have hit a couple of nights of 32 degrees but as the ladies are in a unheated greenhouse, they have been protected so far. Thinking maybe another 3 to 4 weeks to finish.
A clone of my indoor lady but grown outdoors instead. Not too shabby, eh. Looks like nice colas forming. Looks to be a beast for a clone. A friend that grew this did well outside, definitely an outdoor plant for maximum yield.
Yep, Salvia is one of those strange ones. I would hardly call it a pleasure as it can be intense. I grew a plant of it and made extracts. the 10x experience always seemed to place me in the same strange local listening to Spanish speaking voices. Huh? Spark a bowl and transported within seconds...
Indoors, the 1 S.A.G.E. X Skittlez fem is looking good. It is hard to believe that these 2 plants are sisters, same strain and planted the same day. One grown indoors only and one put out into the greenhouse. Getting some nice buds and now awaiting the bulking up.
The plants in the 20 gal and 30 gal grow bags are kicking into the plants into gear with new growth and definite thickening of the stem base. I think I will start in late May, next year in large 30 to 50 gallon grow pots. The soil here is crap without a lot of remediation, some of which I am...
Mostly an outdoor greenhouse grow.
Beans from Mantis seeds
Sunshine mix #4 media
Fertlizer was Bio-Alive for vegging
Plants started indoors then moved out when sun hours were 16 hrs of light.
Experimenting with pots sizes. Some 15 gal hard plastic, some 20 gal cloth grow pots and 2 30 gal cloth...
I just finished a grow and cure of this strain, the original Freakshow. Overall, in my case, the yields were a bit light but the taste, smell and smoke of this is a treat. I have paid $10 a seed for beans of other strains that did not compare to this. I am pleased with the strain and will try...
Curious here. Are you growing purps that grow in typical grow rooms and no cold treatment? I had a unknown bag seed that was throwing purple indoors at normal room temperatures. Interesting plant coloration.
That is quite the bushy plant there. I am most curious on the branching structure and future bud support. Do you have typical branches or are they somewhat wispy but many of them to include side branches off of side branches?
I ask as the pheno that I grew indoors has wispy branches that do not...
